Apple starts rolling out Apple Card for all users in US

Earlier this year, Apple introduced ‘Apple Card’ a new kind of credit card that is built into the Apple Wallet app on the iPhone as well as a physical credit card. The preview program invitation started rolling out to a few customers earlier this month. Now, after rolling out the preview program, Apple is officially rolling out Apple Card for all US customers.

Apple iPhone with Face ID and in-screen Touch ID said to launch in 2021

Apple removed Touch ID fingerprint authentication in favor of Face ID 3D facial recognition technology on iPhone X back in 2017, and it didn’t make a come back in last year’s iPhone XS series. Now, according to a new note from Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will introduce an iPhone equipped with both Face ID and in-screen fingerprint sensor in 2021.

Apple reports $10 billion profit on $53.8 billion revenue in FY Q3 2019, iPhone revenue down 12% YoY

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $53.8 billion, up 0.93% over last year with a net profit of $10 billion, down 13% YoY and earnings per diluted share of $2.18, down 7% for the financial year Q3 2019 that ended June 29, 2019. During earnings call Tim Cook said that the company saw significant improvement in year-over-year iPhone performance compared to last quarter, very strong performances for both Mac and iPad and absolutely blowout quarter for Wearables. All 2020 iPhone models to come with 5G support: Report

There were multiple reports of details about on the iPhones launching in 2020 such as 120Hz switchable refresh rate display, OLED display panel and more. Apple to acquire majority of Intel’s smartphone modem business in a deal valued at $1 billion

After reports, Apple and Intel have confirmed that Apple will acquire the majority of Intel’s smartphone modem business in a transaction valued at $1 billion. Approximately 2,200 Intel employees will join Apple, along with intellectual property, equipment and leases. Intel closed its 5G modem business in April this year after Apple and Qualcomm announced a settlement and prior to this, Intel became the sole third-party provider of modems of the iPhones launched in 2018. LG starts rolling out Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support to 2019 AI ThinQ TVs

After rolling out Alexa support to its 2019 AI ThinQ TV lineup back in May, LG has announced that it will add Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support to 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs and UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability via an update starting July 25.
