LG unveiled the L Fino and L Bello, budget Android smartphones with 3G support in the L series few weeks back. LG also showcased these smartphones at the IFA, today the company announced that it would roll out both these smartphones globally starting this week. Micromax launched the Canvas Nitro A310, the company’s latest high-end Canvas smartphone earlier this week. We brought the unboxing and the photo gallery of the Canvas Nitro recently, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We already have quite a few smartphones in India powered by the same Octa-Core chip. HTC Sense 6 Lock Screen app hits Google Play Store

HTC has launched Lock Screen Sense 6 app on the Google Play Store. With the new app, users can swipe right on the Lock Screen to jump straight into BlinkFeed, or swipe left to access the Widget Home or to the previous app. In addition, notifications, clock and weather are displayed on the lock screen.

Nvidia accidentally confirms HTC Nexus 9 in legal docs

Reports and leaks about the HTC Nexus 9 have been looming the online world for a long time now. Today, NVIDIA may have inadvertently revealed and confirmed the existence of the Nexus 9 tablet. A leaked court documents from NVIDIA in which they claim Qualcomm and Samsung are infringing on their GPU patents not only makes mention of a Nexus 9, but reveals the manufacturer Google will be partnering with HTC for the same.

KitKat now on 24.5% of Android devices

Google has released the Android’s Platform Distribution numbers for the period of August to September 2014. This reveals gradual growth in KitKat share that has increased from 20.9% to 24.5% in one month. The growth is just 3.6%.
