LG has announced X cam and X screen smartphones in the new X series, ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. The X cam sports 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel, dual rear cameras and promises one of the most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone, while the X screen features 1.76-inch ‘Always-on’ second screen, in addition to 4.93-inch HD In-cell Touch display. This will allow users to easily access frequently used apps, answer calls without interrupting the current activity or just play music. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual Battery Life Test

Sony launched the Xperia Z5 Premium Dual, its flagship smartphone in India for Rs. 62,990 back in October last year. We unboxed the smartphone recently, here we have the battery life test results from the smartphone. It packs a 3430mAh built-in battery, slightly bigger than the Xperia Z5 Dual’s 2900mAh battery, has Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support and comes bundled with Quick Charger. Lava International has launched A88, A71 and X11 three new 4G smartphones. The Lava A71 went on sale online earlier this week. The Lava A88 has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, while the A71 and X11 smartphones have a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. All these phones run on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), but Lava is promising upgrade to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) for A71 and A88. These smartphones come with dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity with both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India.

Microsoft teams up with Acer to pre-install its Android apps on phones and tablets

Microsoft has partnered with Acer to pre-load productivity apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer. The company said that it will start the pre-installing the apps from second half of 2016.
