Archos to unveil SmartWatches at CES 2014 starting from 50 GBP

Archos, popular for its Android smartphones and tablets has announced that it would unveil a range of SmartWatches at the CES 2014. These SmartWatches would lets you connect to both Android and iOS smartphones and would start under 50 GBP (Rs. 5,100), said the company. We saw the pebble Smartwatch with E-Ink display. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Gear earlier this year and Sony came up with SmartWatch 2. But the Archos SmartWatch would be cheaper than all these. Sony launches 2 in 1 Dual Connector USB Drive for smartphones and tablets in India

Sony has announced and launched a very interesting USB storage device that can connect to both PCs and Smartphones. In the days where smartphone storage is becoming increasingly insufficient, Sony has launched a USB device with microUSB port on side and a regular USB port on the other. The tiny device can be used as an external storage for smartphones. Earlier this year, we unboxed a similar Verbatim USB OTG drive and Sony has followed in the footsteps of Verbatim, but have greatly reduced the size of the device making it very compact and easy to use.

Samsung GamePad Hands on

Today, Samsung announced the successor to Samsung Galaxy Grand and also unveiled their GamePad in India. Recently we brought you information that Samsung’s GamePad went on sale in Europe and today we will be bringing you the hands-on pictures with the Samsung GamePad. Samsung has announced that the GamePad will be available in India from January 2014 and will be priced at Rs. 4,999.

LG to show off Pocket Photo 2 Smart Mobile Printer at CES 2014

LG has unveiled Pocket Photo 2 (PD239), its new smart mobile printer and the successor of its first Pocket Photo Printer that was launched in India earlier this year. The Pocket Photo 2 is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows 8 operating systems and can connect to these devices over Bluetooth (Bluetooth) or NFC (Near Field communication). The successor is just 20mm thick, 4mm thinner than the first Photo printer and has a slim design for better portability. Samsung GamePad coming to India in January

Recently we brought you information that Samsung’s GamePad went on sale in Europe. Today, during the launch of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Samsung have also announced that the Smartphone GamePad will go on sale in India from the end of January in 2014. The pricing of this GamePad was mentioned as Rs. 4,999.

Samsung’s Smartphone GamePad will allow owners of Galaxy smartphone to instantly transform their smartphone into a handheld console or a gaming console by pairing the smartphone to a display. Unlike Samsung smartphones,  the Smartphone GamePad is carved out of a metal frame making it easy to hold on to and at the same time, giving it a premium look. The smartphone GamePad will connect with the smartphone via Bluetooth pairing and on optimized Android 4.3 devices like Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Note 2 and Note 3, pairing can be done via NFC tags.

Samsung Smartphone GamePad will be compatible with Samsung Galaxy devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and many others. The device will be compatible with Samsung’s PLAY application that will let you manage the controller. By pressing the Play button on the controller, you can easily access the market for games which are optimized for GamePad.

 

Logitech unveils new range of Apple iPad accessories

Logitech is a popular computer accessories company and with the market shifting to mobile devices like smartphones and tablet, they have too adapted their products. Today, Logitech has announced a new range of accessories for the iPad Air and iPad mini. The accessories that were unveiled today include an Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and Folio Protective cases for the newly launched iPad Air. Apple’s latest iPad mini with Retina display also gets a couple of accessories for itself in the form of Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and Folio Protective cases.

Nokia BH-121 Bluetooth Stereo Headset with NFC announced

Nokia has finally unveiled the BH-121 Bluetooth Stereo Headset with NFC support. The Bluetooth headset was leaked as Nokia Guru, back in October and was expected launch at the Dubai event along with the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 2520. The Bluetooth Stereo headset comes with in-ear headphones (WH-208) that connects to the headset through a 3.5mm jack and weighs just 15.7 grams. LG Tone Ultra Bluetooth Headset announced, global roll out to begin soon

LG unveiled the LG TONE+ (HBS-730), successor of the popular Bluetooth stereo headset LG TONE (HBS-700) last year. The company has  launched the new LG Tone Ultra (HBS-800) headset in Korea. LG has announced that it plans to launch the Bluetooth headset in other countries. LG says that the LG TONE headsets, HBS-700 and the HBS-700 have sold over 200 million units globally. Qualcomm announced its own Smartwatch – the Toq with a Mirasol display back in September, which would go on sale in the U.S. for $349.99 starting December 2nd. Now the Appscomm Fashioncomm A1 Smartwatch has used the same on its own Smartwatch. The Mirasol technology enables an always-on 1.55-inch MEMS display with the battery life lasting more number of days than a standard display. Apart from the usual set of features seen in the Smartwatch including a G-sensor for pedometer and Bluetooth, this also has a micro SIM slot to make and receive phone calls and read or send text messages.
