HTC is all set to launch it’s 3D smartphone the EVO 3D in India today at a price close to Rs.35000 undercutting the LG Optimus 3D which was launched last week for Rs.37000. An LG spokesman announced that LG has done very well globally as well as in Korea. The LG has managed to sell over 120,000 units of the Optimus 3D since its launch last month on the SK Telecom network.

Sony Ericsson is one of the famous mobile phone companies in the world and they are offering a lot of good handsets, and most of their smartphones are Android powered. LG Thrill 4G was officially announced by AT&T back in March which is actually AT&T variant of world’s first ever 3D Android smartphone known as the LG Optimus 3D. We recently heard that AT&T will be launching it this month and July is about to end. Well, it seems that the launch is around the corner because BGR is reporting that AT&T will be launching it for $99 with a 2-yr contract but still no words on release date, but my guess is that either it’s coming in few days or probably in the first week of August. Earlier this year, Samsung announced their new flagship device which is known as the Samsung Galaxy S II and they are selling it very well. Galaxy S II is considered as one of the best Android smartphones available in the market at the moment. Well, now it looks like Samsung is working on a new Galaxy device as our friends over at Sammy Hub spotted on Korean website ETNews that Samsung is working on a device which will feature a 3D display and would be known as Galaxy 3D. It’s just a rumor so just take it with a grain of salt but you can put a little trust on it because recently companies like HTC and LG introduced phones with 3D display, so if Samsung is also working on one then there is no surprise. Hitachi has just announced a 4.5″ 3D display for that is usable without wearing glasses. Apart from that, the display also supports a High Definition resolution of 1280×720 pixels.

We are lucky to get our hands on the LG Optimus 3D which is the world’s first 3D phone and the world’s first 3D smartphone. The 3D experience does not require you to wear 3D glasses as the phone packs a glassless/glassfree 3D display. You can also capture 3D Video footage and pictures talks to the 3D Stereoscopic camera on the back.The phone was announced this year at Mobile World Congress and the unit we are currently playing with looks a lot more stable and polished. AT&T is one of the largest US carriers and they are offering number of Android devices. Recently, they announced two new Android devices known as HTC Status and LG Thrill 4G. HTC Status is AT&T version of HTC ChaCha which is a small device that comes with a dedicated Facebook button. Japanese love the clamshell form-factor for their phones. Thus Sharp and Softbank have announced the world’s first clamshell Android 2.3 phone. The phone is called the Sharp Hybrid 007SH and will be sold though Softbank.
