Qualcomm could shift some Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 production from Samsung to TSMC

realme RMX3310 with 6.62-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888, 50MP triple rear cameras, 5000mAh battery gets certified

realme introduced the GT Neo 2 smartphone in September, and it was launched in India in October. Now a new smartphone with the model number RMX3310 has been certified by TENAA in China that looks similar to the Neo2, and has almost similar specs, but instead of Snapdragon 870 SoC, this is powered by Snapdragon 888 and has a 50MP rear camera instead of a 64MP camera while retain other specs. OPPO INNO DAY 2021 on December 14-15 — Retractable camera tech, first self-developed NPU and more

Update: Dec 7, 2021 – OPPO has started teasing it self-developed retractable camera tech. It reveals 1/1.56″ sensor, 50 mm equivalent lens, f/2.4 aperture. It also shows that is water-resistant, so there are no gaps. Similar to the pop-up front camera tech, the lens retracts when it detects a fall.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Benchmarks: How good is this compared to Snapdragon 888 / 888 Plus?

Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile platform at its Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 last week. The latest flagship SoC has a Kryo Prime Arm Cortex-X2-based CPU at up to 3.0GHz, 3 x Kryo  Performance A710-based CPUs at up to 2.50GHz and 4x Kryo Efficiency A510-based CPUs at up to 1.8GHz. It is fabricated using the Samsung 4nm Process Technology. We got to check out the smartphone at the event, and here are the official benchmark scores.
