Nokia has released a new firmware for the Nokia N97 Version :v11.0.021 UPDATE : Varun got v.11 on his N97 White . The update was around 3.7 MB and took about 5 mins to install on the phone. As we all know, Nokia may well be the only top brand that is let behind in the Megapixel race. Brands like Samsung, Sony Ericsson etc have announced their 12 Megapixel phones which are on their way to the markets while Nokia’s top cameraphone, the Nokia N86 sports only an 8 Megapixel camera.
Nokia said that it doesn’t believe in the Megapixel count and wishes to focus more on the lens quality etc. But since most of this is not known to public, they will opt for the devices from Samsung etc with more Megapixel count and Nokia will end up losing a lot of sales. After having brought you the Nokia N85 picture gallery review, we tackle a small comparison with its older brother, the N82. The first part of this comparison is axed on hardware and design.
Both devices bring the black plastic and shiny look in the design category. The N85’s screen is bigger and more vibrant due to its OLED technology.
The N85 is shorter, due to its slider design and also thinner, making it more pocketable and easily carried in a hand. The replacement of the useless Gallery key (N82) with a keylock key (N85) is a welcome addition as it allows to quickly lock and unlock the handset. Good News for all the Nokia 5800 users, A new firmware update (v 31.0.0.15) is in the offing.
Recently, Nokia Conversations released their “Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Introduction” video on Youtube. But if you watch the video attentively, at the 0:57 second of the video, you can clearly see that the Firmware version of the Nokia 5800 is showing as v.31.0.015. And also Steve Litchfield of All About Symbian has also quoted in one of their articles that v31 firmware was the stable release inside Nokia a couple of weeks ago and he suspects it will appear in public this week.

Its not a normal flashy nokia box with tons of marketing material on the outside. Then box has a nice engraving on the top and feels to touch. We could not even find the package contents printed any where. The box is just plain and simple and made of eco-friendly recyclable material.
Nokia’s Ambarish mentioned about the the company’s commitment to make it’s retail boxes smaller and eco-friendly.
