British Telecom is allegedly already in talks with UK network operator EE following the alleged approach by Telefonica to form a “strategic partnership” that would see BT buy the company’s UK operator O2. According to sources cited by Reuters, BT is currently in “early stage” talks with EE over a major deal which may yet present a challenge to Telefonica’s master plan. UK operator BT is rumoured to be in talks to buy O2 UK with O2’s parent company Telefonica seeking a strategic partnership with BT that would see it sell its mobile network in return for a 20% stake. According to a report on El Confidencial, Telefonica’s CEO César Alierta is exploring the partnership with BT to create a European Giant and whilst talks are at an advanced stage, “there is nothing concrete yet”. A new leaked screenshot is showing that the latest Blackberry flagship device, the Blackberry Torch 9800 is coming to O2 UK on October 4. It’s not confirmed yet, but you can take it with a grain of salt. Vodafone UK will be carrying the Torch too, and as we know that O2 always follow Vodafone footsteps, so this could be true.

You must have heard about Sony Ericsson’s Green heart family of devices which are made of recycled materials. The Elm which is a member of the Green heart range has been picked as the most eco-friendly phone according to a new Eco rating scheme from UK mobile operator O2 . The Elm emerged as a winner amongst 65 phones from 6 phone makers including Nokia, HTC, LG, Samsung and Palm.Surprisingly Apple refused to take part and so the iPhones were not part of the exercise
