AT&T has announced the pre-order for the Garnet Red variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is exclusive to AT&T. Customers can pre-order this device through the operators website and in the company’s retail stores starting from July 15. In-store availability is set for July 29th. We have already seen the White Galaxy S3 and the Pebble Blue S3 and this is the first glimpse at the red one. There a couple of photos after the jump.

Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.9.7 that lets you use the front-facing camera on your phone to capture images. This version also removes support for Android 2.1 (Eclair) and works only on Android 2.2 (Froyo) devices and up. Twitter has finally launched the Official app for Nokia Series 40 (S40) devices including the latest Nokia Asha series of phones. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released draft regulations on Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations. There is no quality of service standards for the mobile data services compared to wired Internet such as broadband. TRAI has decided to benchmark the quality of service parameters for mobile data services such as 2G, 3G and the 4G LTE services based on BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) spectrum.
