Asus MeMO Pad 7-inch Tablet with Android 4.1 launched in India for Rs. 9999

Asus has launched the MeMo Pad (ME172V) in India. It was announced last month, and comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, powered by  a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM8950 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 1MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 720p HD video capture at 30 fps and ƒ/2.0 aperture. Adobe Photoshop Touch released for iPhone and Android Smartphones

Adobe released the Photoshop Touch for Android Tablets back in November 2011 along range of Tablet apps, and the Photoshop Touch for iPad was released last February. Now the Adobe has released Photoshop Touch for iPhone and Android smartphones. The Photoshop Touch lets you transform images with core Photoshop features. Twitter for Windows Phone updated with new design and features

Twitter has finally updated the Twitter app for Windows Phone. The Twitter for Windows Phone v2.0 update brings a new design with Home, Connect, Discover and Me tabs that was released for Twitter for Android and iOS back in December 2011. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 and Tab 2 311 get a price cut, now available for Rs. 15999 and Rs. 12599


Samsung India has cut the price of both their 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 Android tablets. The Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones got a price cut earlier this month. Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 2 310 in India back in May last year at a MOP of Rs. 19,500 and the Wi-Fi only variant, the Galaxy Tab 2 311 went on sale in India couple of weeks back at Rs. 13,900. Samsung Galaxy Young Hands On

Part of Samsung’s entry level Android phone range, the Samsung Galaxy Young sports a 3.27 inch display with  a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The capacitive display is multi touch capable.

Samsung Galaxy Express Hands On

Here at the Mobile World Congress, Samsung showcased its product portfolio that includes the Galaxy Express. One of its newest phones, it has a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus capactive screen which looks quite nice though slightly blurred out because of the low pixel density.

The size of the phone is on the larger side but it manages to fit in well in the hand. The smooth curves mean that it fits comfortably well in the hand though the cheap plastic used doesn’t look too good.  Continue reading “Samsung Galaxy Express Hands On”

Walking through the Samsung booth at the Mobile World Congress we ran into the Samsung Fame. Part of the new budget range of Android handsets, the phone looks quite interesting.

The Nokia 301 is one of the two low end feature phones that Nokia announced at the Mobile World Congress 2013. The 301 is not just a feature phone but a feature rich phone, made for the ever hungry budget user, wanting for more features with as little expenditure possible. PVR app for BlackBerry 10 with NFC wallet launched

PVR has launched NFC-enabled PVR app for BlackBerry 10 devices, powered by NEC’s Integrated E-money solution. BlackBerry launched the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in India yesterday, and this app would let movie goers, tap & pay for movie tickets and refreshments without using paper money across 15 PVR cinemas in cities including Delhi & NCR, Chennai, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. LG rolls out Android 4.1 update for Optimus Vu 2 in Korea

LG has started rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus Vu 2 in Korea. The LG Optimus Vu 2 was launched in Korea back in September with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). LG confirmed Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for range of high-end devices including, Optimus LTE 2, Optimus G, Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu 2 last year. LG buys webOS for Smart TVs

LG Electronics has announced that they have acquired webOS operating system technology from HP that include, source code, associated documentation, engineering talent and related websites associated with webOS for development of next-generation Smart TV technology. Nokia Lumia 520 Hands On

We brought you the Nokia Lumia 520 photo gallery and having spent a bit more time with the handset, here’s our first hands on impressions of the phone. The Lumia 520 packs in 1Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm processor combined with 512MB RAM which delivers decent performance.

Sony Mobile to launch Firefox OS device in 2014

Mozilla previewed the first commercial build of its Firefox OS at the MWC 2013. The company had announced that Alcatel (TCL), LG, ZTE and Huawei would release smartphones running Firefox OS later this year. Telefónica one of the operator partners for the Firefox OS has announced that they have partnered with Sony Mobile to bring the Firefox-powered mobile devices next year.
