Spice has launched Mi-530, new dual SIM phone. It has a 5.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) display, powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8 MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording and a 5 MP front-facing camera, as you can see at the top of the phone, which is unique. It packs a powerful 2550 mAh battery. Nokia introduces Music+ low-cost subscription service for Lumia devices

Nokia has announced Music+, a low-cost music subscription service for Lumia users that would offer high quality music with infinite skips, unlimited downloads and lots more. Nokia introduced Nokia Music, free music streaming service for US customers, but it had limited features. The  new Music+ service would offer music downloads at 3.99 Euros per month. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 pre-booking starts, priced at Rs. 13900

Samsung has started pre-booking for the Galaxy Tab 2 311 (GT-P3110), Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 310 on their eStore. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was announced back in February 2012, and launched in India in May. It got the Android 4.1.1 update last month, but the Tab 311 would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Karbonn S1 Titanium with 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 coming soon

Karbonn S1 Titanium, the company’s upcoming flagship phone has surfaced on their official site. It packs in a 4.5-inch qHD  (960 × 540 pixels) multi-touch display.  It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has has Dual SIM support, 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. This would compete with the recently launched Micromax A116 Canvas HD that also comes with a quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Yellow Nokia Lumia 920 Photo Gallery

Yellow is awesome. Why am I saying that? Well, because my Nokia Lumia 920 looks absolutely great in yellow! When I decided to actually buy one, my color choices became clear quite easily: red or yellow. There could only be those two. Black and white are just so outdated. Anyways, after I’ve received my shiny new, yellow 920, and some initial problems were sorted out (I’ve received a faulty device, which got replaced), it was my turn to produce a nice photo gallery of Nokia’s latest and greatest!

Acer has announced the Liquid E1, a new mid-range smartphone in the Liquid series. It has a 4.5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 720p HD video recording. It also features a VGA front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 rugged phone with 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Xcover 2, successor of the Galaxy Xcover that was introduced back in 2011. The Xcover 2 is water resistant to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes with IP67 certification, and is also dust and sand proof. It has upgraded specifications including a 4.0-inch WVGA (480 × 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash, 720p video recording and VGA secondary camera. It also comes with a dedicated camera key. It has Samsung’s unique features such as S-Cloud, S Voice and Smart Stay. It comes with Cardio Trainer Pro workout application.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 OTA update now rolling out in India

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update in India. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched in India in May last year running Android 4.0 ICS, and it got the Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update in November last year. Twitter launches Vine video sharing app for iPhone

Twitter has launched Vine, a new video sharing service that would let users upload a video clip up to 6 seconds directly from their mobile phone. The Vine uses a similar concept to share and discover what’s happening in the world in short and easy way just like Twitter’s 140-character limit. Even though there are several video sharing services that would let you post on twitter, this app seems fun and easy to create short videos, including stop motion videos. Intel XOLO X500 Dual SIM phone with 1.2 GHz Atom processor, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 8999

The XOLO X500 that surfaced recently has finally gone official. It is the first smartphone that is powered by the Intel’s 1.2 GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor. The phone has a 3.5 inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Lexington Z2420 processor has Hyper Threading technology which offers fast User Interface (UI) responsiveness, run multiple apps simultaneously without slowing down and also consumes less battery. Dhingana, popular online music streaming service in India has launched its service on mobile web. This would let the users listen to music from a collection of half a million songs in 38 Indian languages and genres from the web browser on their mobile phone without downloading any external application. Lava Xolo X500 to be the first Intel Z2420 powered smartphone in India

Intel had launched the Z2420 reference platform for low to mid end devices at the International CES 2013 just a week back, and we are now starting to learn from a report on NDTV Gadgets that the first smartphone to use that platform in India would be the Lava XOLO X500. Lava had already released the XOLO X900 in collaboration with Intel, and it proved to be quite a success. Following that, the XOLO X500 is supposed to be Lava’s second Intel phone that is ready to be launched in the Indian market.

Samsung posts $27.2 billion profit with 4% QoQ growth in mobile

It’s the season of quarterly results and yearly financial analysis of most of the consumer electronics and product companies in the world and Samsung is no exception. We saw the brilliant Q1 results Apple had, and the promising results Nokia had, now it’s time for the Samsung results, which, as you might have guessed by now, is huge. Samsung Electronics, the company as a whole, which includes, mobile, semi conductor and consumer electronics, has posted a whopping 27.2 billion USD profit, with the mobile division driving the growth at 4% QoQ increase in revenues.
