Futuremark updates 3DMark Android Benchmark app, delists devices with suspicious scores

Futuremark released the 3D mark Android benchmark app earlier this year. Since a lot of mobile manufactures are said to be cheating to show up higher scores on several benchmarks, the company has released a new update and has also announced that the company would delist devices that are suspicious. When a device is suspected of breaking the rules it is delisted. 3DMark scores from delisted devices should not be used to compare devices. Delisted devices appear unranked, and without scores, at the bottom of the 3DMark Device Channel and the Best Mobile Devices list on our website, says the company. 3DMark benchmark released for Android

Futuremark has released 3DMark Cross-platform benchmarking tool for Android as they announced last year. 3DMark is popular benchmarking tool for PC, and the 3D Mark for Android has Ice Storm and Ice Storm Extreme tests that are based on OpenGL ES 2.0.  It lets you compare scores across all these platforms, since the test content, settings and rendering resolution are similar. 3DMark Cross-platform Benchmarking tool coming soon to Windows RT, Android, iPhone and iPad

Futuremark has announced that new 3DMark Cross-platform Benchmarking tool would be available for Windows RT, Android, iPhone and iPad other than Windows, later this year. The new 3DMark tool would also let you compare scores across all these platforms, since the test content, settings and rendering resolution are similar. 3DMark is popular benchmarking tool for PCs, 3DMark 11 is the latest version on Windows. This would compete with the GLBenchmark, popular benchmarking tool that is available on Android, iPhone and iPad.
