Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

For the past 4 years, there is an event that most phone geeks look forward to; the announcement of the latest Samsung Galaxy S flagship. Ever since the launch of the original Galaxy S smartphone which was a big success for a flagship device at the time, we have all waited to see what Samsung brings in new every year with the successor to the previous model. Samsung have a history of providing a do it all device with every feature you could imagine packed into a single device. Naturally this year also everyone expected the same.
Each year Samsung manages to sell more and more of it’s flagship device and this year it’s expecting to do the same. However it does have some fierce competition from the likes of HTC and Sony. Only time will tell how it stands against them but let’s take a look at the S5 and how it performs.

LG isai FL with 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 801 announced

LG Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI that leaked last month is now official. It has a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with LG’s own skin on top. Yahoo News Digest now available for Android, adds International Edition
Yahoo News Digest, a product of its Summly acquisition, took form as an iOS app back in January, when it debuted as a beautiful news reader with many sources. The same app is now available for Android, and it looks almost exactly like its iOS counterpart, pixel to pixel, which is a good thing because we think the app is beautiful. However, you do get a really nice home screen widget that lets you browse the feed at a glance. Previously limited only to the US and the UK, the News Digest app goes global this time around with an International Edition and another country-focused Canadian edition. Users in US, UK and Canada will all get local editions along with the International edition, which in turn will be available for all the worldwide users.

Yahoo mobile traffic to surpass desktop by end of 2014: Marissa Mayer
Since Marissa Mayer joined Yahoo in 2012, she had concentrated on mobile and mobile related features and services. All the acquisitions made by Yahoo last year were entirely focused to enhance its mobile offerings. Speaking in an interview at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference Mayer said that mobile traffic on Yahoo will outnumber that on desktop by the end of 2014.

Moto X+1 for AT&T shows up on Motorola website briefly
At the start of this month, Motorola’s Moto X+1 appeared on MotoMaker website. The company however did not give any details about the phone and deleted the references on it. According to earlier rumors the Moto X+1 comes with 25 custom backplate options, including four leather options.

LG’s 5.5-inch Quad HD display gets certified, to be used in LG G3

LG Display has just announced that their 5.5-inch Quad HD LCD smartphone panel has been certified by NEMKO, Norway-based international testing and certification organization. LG announced their first Quad HD panel back in August last year and has a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 538ppi. It has the same 1.2 mm thickness, but this has 1.15 mm narrow bezel, 0.05 mm less than the panel introduced last year. Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Review
While Android tablets have proven to sell a fair few numbers in the entry level segment, the upper end has so far been dominated by the iPad. Samsung has made a few attempts at making a dent in this segment but has failed.
