LG G Pad 8.3 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 processor

LG had been teasing an upcoming tablet known as the G Pad 8.3 and today in Seoul , the company has finally taken the wraps of the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet and it does look like the big brother of the LG G2 smartphone which debuted recently. The GPad will be showcased at IFA 2013 in Berlin this week and true to its name it packs a 8.3 inch display with a massive 1920×1200 resolution similar to the resolution of the screen on the new Nexus 7 2013. On the inside it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quadcore Processor running at  1.7GHz. LG has managed to pack a 4600 mAh battery into this device which is only about 8.3 mm thick and still weighs only about 338 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2

Flickr for iPhone updated with new camera, live filters and more

Yahoo! has updated the Flickr app for iPhone with a new camera and photo filters. Yahoo! acquired GhostBird Software, creators of popular iOS photography apps KitCam, and the new features are result of it, created by GhostBird Software team. The update brings live inline filters and editing capabilities, Live Filters let you see how your photo looks while you take it. Digg has released their official Android app on Google Play. This offers stories from the Digg homepage as well as Digg Reader on Android devices. This is the first Android release, so the app would be gradually improved with missing features such as a Show Only Unread Items view, text size and display mode options, and background updating, says the company. Intex has just sent out a media invite for the launch of next-gen premium smartphone. The phone would be launched by their brand ambassador, director and actor Farhan Akthar. The press invite says “Gorge your eyes on the newest wonder in town” which hints at a new smartphone in the Wonder series. The Intex Aqua Wonder smartphone was launched earlier this year, the successor Aqua Wonder Quadcore with a quad-core processor was launched in April. Xolo Play gets a new OTA update, improves performance

Xolo has announced that they have started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Xolo Play that improves the performance of the update. The Xolo Play (T1000) was launched last month, and we reviewed the device recently. It is the first phone from Xolo to be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The graphics is taken care of 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU.  It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), sadly the new update does not bring Android 4.2.

It had a similar design as the Padfone 2, but it came with an upgraded hardware including a Snapdragon 600 processor and full HD display. Now images Padfone Infinity A86 has surfaced that is expected to pack a Snapdragon 800 processor. As you can see in the leaked images, the phone would be completely white, unlike the current Padfone Infinity smartphone that comes in black color. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core K3V2E processor with 16-Core GPU from Huawei and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 1.6. It has 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p full HD video-capture and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. Qualcomm has released a new promo video titled “Better Cores, Not More Cores” that takes on the MediaTek’s new Octa-Core chip. Even though the promo doesn’t mention MediaTek, the “Our Competitor” wording in the promo clearly shows that it’s MediaTek.
