Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD (Nozomi) image surface in Hong Kong

New image of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD ( Previously known as Nozomi LT26i) has surfaced in Hong Kong which is reportedly going through carrier testing. The phone has Sony Ericsson brand name on the top and has a new Xperia UI. There is a front-facing camera on the top-right and there are 3 capacitive touch buttons for back, home and menu. GTA III coming to select Android and iOS devices on December 15th for $4.99


Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto III would be available for select new generation iOS and Android devices on December 15th for $4.99. They are celebrating 10th anniversary of their popular Game by launching it on iOS and Android. They already posted list of devices in October, now they have updated the list by adding few more devices. They would also release a new trailer during the launch. Twitter for BlackBerry v2.1 leaves beta, now available from App World

Twitter for BlackBerry has been updated to v2.1.0.27. Version 2.1 Beta was launched in BlackBerry Beta Zone this October that included Multiple account support and better profile functions for editing and account switching. The new version also includes enhanced BBM Share functionality.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich teased on Notion Ink Adam Tablet

Notion Ink has uploaded an Image of the Notion Ink Adam tablet running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They confirmed in September that the tablet would get the Ice Cream Sandwich update and posted last month that they started building after Google launched the Android 4.0 source code. Later they said they were expecting the Android 4.0 source code in early November but due to the delay they need extra time and said the builds here have passed the ALSA issue. BlackBerry 10 announced at DevCon Asia in Singapore

Today at BlackBerry DevCon Asia in Singapore , RIM announced it’s next major platform version- BlackBerry 10 . RIM is calling it the single , converged , next-generation BlackBerry platform. We guess its just BBX in it’s consumer / marketing form. BlackBerry 10 will be the next major BlackBerry OS update after BlackBerry 7. RIM had literally flooded the market with an army of BlackBerry 7 devices and next year we can expect BlackBerry 10 devices. More on this soon. The real reason behind the change from BBX to BlackBerry is due to a ruling by a US  District Judge which prevents RIM from using the BBX brand at the conference. BlackBerry DevCon Asia Live Blog

RIM is holding its BlackBerry DevCon Asia event here in Singapore.The event was shifted from Thailand due to the recent floods in that region. The company held it’s previous DevCon in  San Francicso where BBX was announced.  We expect to hear more about BBX and hope to see a few new un-announced devices. We are also going to try to sit down with some RIM executives and get an idea of the mood within the company.The keynote is about to start in a few minutes and you can follow the updates from the event below

Android Market clocks 10 billion app downloads, offers premium apps at $0.10

Google has announced that Android market has exceeded 10 billion app downloads. They have also posted a graph that shows the Android Market Growth. The Android Market saw 1 billion downloads in July 2010 and reached 6 billion in a year in July 2011. To celebrate this milestone they offer premium apps every day for the next 10 days at $0.10 each.

Airtel has launched a new 3G Unlimited High Speed USB Data Card Plan, Airtel Super 950 in Rajasthan. This plan is priced at Rs. 950 / month and it would offer 7.2 MBPS for the first 6 GB data after that speed would be throttled to 20 kbps and remain unlimited for the rest of the month. HTC Flyer Android Honeycomb update now rolling out in UK


HTC Flyer tablet Android Honeycomb 3.2 update is now rolling out in UK. This update is available for the 3G version of the HTC Flyer tablet in UK, says HTC on their HTC UK Facebook Page. HTC unveiled the Flyer tablet at MWC and confirmed the Android Honeycomb update way back in April. BlackBerry Curve 9380 goes on sale in India


BlackBerry Curve 9380 is now available for purchase in India. It is the first all-touch smartphone in the BlackBerry Curve family. It was announced earlier last month and RIM launched the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and the Curve 9350 in India at the end of last month. RIM announces Sunil Dutt as Managing Director for India


Research In Motion (RIM) has appointed Sunil Dutt as Managing Director for India. He worked for Hewlett Packard India Sales Pte Ltd previously as President, Personal Systems Group and was responsible for expanding their business in enterprise, mid-market and consumer space. Frenny Bawa, previous Managing Director of RIM quit last month.
