The first YotaPhone with dual display was announced in MWC 2013 and they went on sale in December. Fast forward a year and they are here at MWC 2014 announcing the second generation YotaPhone. Unlike the original YotaPhone, the second generation YotaPhone is packed with top of the shelf specifications and has everything in it to compete with the top end smartphones.
Panasonic P31 with 5-inch display, unique software features launching in March
It has been more than four months since we had seen a smartphone from Panasonic India. The Panasonic T31 was launched back in October, the company has started teasing their upcoming Panasonic P31 smartphone with new software features in their new teasers. The phone would come with Gesture Play, a new unlock feature that lets you draw on the screen to unlock the smartphone and POP-I Player, a new multi-tasking video player. Google has started rolling out a new Google + update (version 4.3) for Android, that brings a lot of new photo editing features, new filters, snap-seed-inspired tools and more. The main feature is the non-destructive photo editing, that lets you backup full-resolution photos from your desktop, edit them on your phone, add edit the same photo with some finishing touches from your tablet. Google Now Launcher arrives on Google Play for Nexus and Google Play Edition devices running Android 4.4
Google Nexus 5, that was launched with Android 4.4 (KitKat) was the only to come with Google Now Launcher to directly access Google Now from the home screen. Earlier this month there were reports about the launcher coming too Google Play. We even saw APKs to side-load the launcher on other devices. Samsung opens up Fingerprint Scanner for developers, unlike Apple
Samsung is fresh after announcing its latest flagship – Samsung Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014 day before yesterday. Samsung is still at MWC 2014 and is holding an event for the developers. At the event, Samsung has announced that it is planning to open up the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S5 for developers. For a company that follows the strategy of Apple, this is quite a surprising move.

HP Slate 8 Pro Hands On, Photo Gallery

Alcatel OneTouch Pop S3, Pop S7, Pop S9 LTE smartphones and Pixi 7 tablet announced
Alcatel OneTouch has unveiled three new LTE smartphones in the Pop series, the Pop S3, Pop S7 and the Pop S9. It has also unveiled the Pixi 7, a 7-inch WiFi-only tablet. The Pop S3 has a 4-inch WVGA screen, S7 has a 5-inch qHD IPS screen and the Pop S9 comes with a 5.9-inch HD IPS screen. All these are powered by quad-core processors. Hands on with Sony’s Android 4.4 UI on a Xperia Z2 – Double Tap to Wake, Gestures and more
Sony launched the Xperia Z2 at the Mobile World Congress event here in Barcelona, Spain. The Z2 is an evolutionary upgrade over the Z1 and fixes every complaint people had with the Z1, like it has a better display, a way better build with a stunningly thin and premium design and overall a better package for a flagship. This also includes the new software work that Sony has done, because the Z2 is the first Android 4.4 device from the company and it brings a lot of new improvements to the looks as well as features that previously didn’t exist. While there are a lot of under the hood improvements, we took a look at some of the user facing features of the new skin on the Xperia Z2 –
