Android KitKat is now present on 8.5% of all global active devices, according to the data released on the Android Developers Dashboard The latest version of Google’s Operating System increased its share by 3.2% over last month when it stood at 5.3%.

Gionee Elife E7 Mini Benchmarks
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini was unveiled alongside the flagship device, the Elife E7 at an event a few months back from where we’d brought you our first hands on. Powered by a 1.7 Ghz Mediatek MT6492 processor and paired with 1GB of RAM, the Elife E7 Mini is a decidedly less powerful device than the flagship. The phone has a 4.7 inch 720p display and is running on Android 4.2.2 with Gionee’s custom Amigo OS 2.0 UI layer thrown on top for good measure. HTC One mini 2 leaked press render shows the phone in Gray, Silver and Gold colors
Specifications of the HTC M8 mini leaked out back in February even before the HTC One M8 was unveiled. Now @evleaks has posted a press render of the M8 mini that is expected to be launched as HTC One mini 2. The leak reveals the phone’s colors, Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold, similar to the HTC One (M8). According to the leaked render, it is clear that the phone lacks a Duo camera arrangement like the One M8. Nokia Lumia 520 deflects a bullet to save police officer’s life
The world’s most popular Windows Phone turned into a life saver for a police man in Sao Paulo, Brazil where a couple of robbers opened fire at him in his house. The Lumia 520, which was sitting in his back pocket took a bullet, and in the end saved his life, and literally his behind too. Nokia, being known for its build quality, will certainly take this as a positive result, but we are sure any phone would have done the same.

Xolo Q900T with 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor announced for Rs. 11999
Xolo has announced the Q900T, the latest smartphone in the Q CORE series and the successor of the Xolo Q900. It has a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display at 312 ppi with 178-degree wide viewing angle and a 2.5 D Edge-to-edge curved glass on the front, similar to Xolo X1000 that was released last year and the rear panel too looks similar to X1000. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor that is clear from ‘T’ in the model number of the phone. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to most of the Xolo phones. Jury says Samsung infringed Apple patents, orders to pay $119 million in fine
The long going Apple and Samsung patent trial received another hearing and decision from the US federal jury. In its verdict, the jury found Samsung guilty of infringing on two of four Apple patents, the ‘647 patent for data detectors and the ‘721 patent for “slide-to-unlock”. However, the jury said that Samsung did not infringe the ‘959 “universal search” patent or the ‘414 “background sync” patent.
