Intel teams up with Unity to expand Android support for x86 devices

Intel has announced a strategic collaboration with Unity Technologies to extend Android support for Intel devices. Unity will add Android support for Intel’s current and future x86 chips. Both Unity 4 and 5 will be updated to include support for Intel Core and Intel Atom-based mobile processors.

Motorola is likely to discontinue its most popular Moto G smartphone in India, few weeks before the arrival of its successor. Flipkart is advertising as “Get yours before it’s gone! Last stock of Moto G 16GB” on its website, so this might be the last stock of the smartphone to be sold in India. Motorola reduced the price of both 8GB and 16GB variants of Moto G by Rs. 2,000 in India recently, due to huge competition from other manufacturers. The sequel announced this year, the Galaxy K zoom, is visibly better, with a slimmer profile and a lens unit that is more pocketable. Opera has entered into a licensing agreement with Microsoft in order to make its browsers default on all low end phones from the company. The deal specifically applies to mobile phones based on the Series 30+, Series 40 and Asha software platforms.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 4G+ in Singapore. It is a variant of the Galaxy S5 broadband LTE-A that was launched in Korea in June. It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and has LTE-A support up to 300 Mbps. Other specifications are similar to the global Galaxy S5 variants, including a 5.1-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD and a 2800 mAh battery. Panasonic introduces new Qi-enabled wireless charging pad and portable chargers

Panasonic has launched three new Qi-enabled charging products in the U.S.. This includes 5,300mAh and 2,650mAh Qi portable chargers and a Qi wireless charging pad. These chargers are compatible with iPhone, other smartphones and tablets. These can be charged via USB or the Qi wireless charging pad, since these are Qi-enabled. These run on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and comes with premium UX features, similar to the LG G3, as it promised recently. The L Fino 4.5-inch WVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.
