LAVA International has launched Iris Fuel 20, the company’s third smartphone in the Fuel series with a 4400mAh battery that promises up to 42 hours of talk time on 2G. It has a 5-inch FWVGA  IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with single LED flash and VGA front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support and has 2G connectivity. Google Nexus 9 32GB LTE variant goes on sale on in India for Rs. 43073

Google unveiled the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC back in October. It got priced at Rs. 28,900 for the 16GB WiFi variant and Rs.44,900 for the 32GB LTE variant on the Google Play Store in India soon after. The 16GB WiFi Indigo Black variant went on Amazon.in at Rs. 28,900 back in December, now the Nexus 9 32GB LTE variant is on sale on Amazon in India. With more and more smartphones released on the market each year, it becomes even more difficult for a handset to stand out from the competition. Some manufacturers have attempted to attract customers using specialist software and hardware features – like the S Pen on the Galaxy Note 4 – but for others, standing out has been difficult and we’ve seen many companies struggle to make their mark.

In the case of Russian company Yota, they saw an opportunity to show that e-ink displays – which have been present on eReaders for a while now – could also be used in a smartphone and whilst the YotaPhone was designed like a wedge, the YotaPhone 2 aims to be different by offering a Full colour display and a unique e-ink display all in one smartphone. It has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the Aqua Star, but this is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor instead of MediaTek MT6582M SoC. Samsung has announced the Galaxy J1 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G and Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, three new 4G-enabled smartphones for India at the Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok. All these smartphones have both TD-LTE B40 (2300) and FDD-LTE B3 (1800) for India and comes with dual SIM support. Samsung had already launched the 3G variants of these smartphones in India. Samsung Galaxy A3 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy A3 smartphone with all-metal body in India for Rs. 20,500 along with the Galaxy A5 last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 306 GPU, similar to the Galaxy A5.  It has 1GB RAM, 4.5-inch qHD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Samsung starts mass production of Exynos 7 Octa based on 14nm technology

Samsung has announced that is has started mass production of Exynos 7 Octa processor that is based on 14nm FinFET process technology. Exynos 7 Octa was first announced back in October last year, which was based on 20nm HKMG process technology. Samsung’s FinFET process technology enables system-on-chip (SOC) designers to reap all of the advantages for the latest energy-efficient processors: die-size reductions, faster frequencies, and lower power consumption, the company had said earlier.
