Lava has launched Pixel V2, the company’s latest smartphone in the Pixel series. The Pixel V1 was launched as an Android One smartphone, but this runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop)-based Star OS 2.0. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, wide-angle lens, Face beauty, Pic Focus are more camera features. OnePlus partnered with OtterBox to release a case for the OnePlus 2 smartphone last week. This dual-layer case offers protection against bumps, drops and shock. The hard outer layer protects against drops and scratches while the inner silicone layer absorbs shock. Lenovo has started rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for A6000 in India, after the A6000 Plus smartphone that got the Lollipop update in India last week. The Lenovo A6000 was launched back in January running Android 4.4 (KitKat). According to Lenovo, the update fixes bugs, improve performance and stability over KitKat. Samsung Galaxy Note5 launched in India starting at Rs. 53900

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India, as we expected. It was announced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event last month along with the Galaxy S6 edge+ that was launched in India recently for Rs. 57,900 and packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, is powered by a Octa-Core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

YU YU5050, the company’s high-end smartphone that recently surfaced on Zauba and Geekbench revealed a 5.2-inch display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 SoC,  4GB RAM and Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Now it has surfaced on AnTuTu (Via) revealing a 5.2-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD display, a 21-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 32GB of internal storage. Lenovo has finally started rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for A6000 Plus smartphone in India earlier this week. The A6000 Plus, which is an upgraded version of the A6000 was launched back in April running Android 4.4 (Kitkat). Lenovo A6000 that was launched back in January is yet to get the Lollipop update. Time and time again, Panasonic has struggled to make itself feel relevant in the mobile space. Previous efforts have more or less failed to leave a mark on the Indian smartphone space and just as we thought that the company might be about to call it quits in the mobility space, we see yet another handset from the Japanese marque. The Panasonic Eluga Icon is the latest to join the company’s Eluga series of handsets that represent the upper end of their offerings.
