ZTE has released Blade A1, its new budget smartphone, which becomes the most affordable smartphone with a fingerprint sensor, beating the UMi Fair that was released in September. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Apple releases open source Swift for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS

Apple has released open source Swift programming language, as it promised at the WWDC earlier this year. It is available for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS. It has also released port that works with the Linux operating system. “As an open source language, the broad community of talented developers — from app developers to educational institutions to enterprises — can contribute to new Swift features and optimizations and help bring Swift to new computing platforms,” said the company. YU YUPHORIA Cyanogen OS 12.1 update to roll out starting from today

YU started rolling out Cyanogen OS 12.1 update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for its YUREKA and YUREKA PLUS smartphones last month. Today Rahul Sharma, Co-founder and CEO of YU tweeted that Cyanogen OS 12.1 update for the YU YUPHORIA smartphone has been certified by Google CTS and will start rolling out from tonight. This comes months after the company said that it had entered final testing phase. Facebook has announced that it has started rolling out new live video feature on their iPhone app. This will allow you to share a live feed from the phone’s camera by tapping the Update Status and selecting the Live Video icon. Live video will be available for a small percentage of iPhone users in the US initially before rolling out globally and other platforms, said the company. This new feature will take on Twitter’s Periscope that is available Android, iOS and more recently Apple TV.
