Gionee launched its high-end full metal-body S6 Pro last month in India for Rs. 23,999. The smartphone was first announced in China earlier this year in June and it is essentially a slightly tweaked version of the recently launched Gionee S6s. Gionee India has sent out invites for the launch of a new smartphone with selfie flash in India on August 22nd. The invite just reads “The Director’s Cut” along with the date. Gionee, one of the popular global smartphone manufactures has announced that it has expanded its retail footprint in India by partnering with Spice, The Mobile Store, Mobiliti World, Jumbo Electronics, Croma Retail and Planet M. “Gionee handsets will now be available across 1000+ stores and the brand aims to sell 35000+ additional devices every month immediately and scale it up at a constant pace in the coming future”, said the company.
