Quite lately, Honor has been doing a good job in the Indian smartphone market. Huawei’s online brand has been churning some quality Value-For-Money (VFM) smartphones focused mainly on the mid-range segment. The recent one to hit the market is the Honor 9i, which was introduced as Maimang 6 in China and as Nova 2i in Malaysia. Problems for the latest and greatest Pixel 2 phones from Google aren’t stopping. The new to join the list is Assistant on both Pixel 2, and 2 XL is failing to detect voice input through Bluetooth headphones. This isn’t something new if you have used the original Pixel phones from last which also suffered poor Bluetooth performance.

Facebook last year introduced Events app which showed local events with a dedicated calendar within. Facebook events was a poor show, and it was soon dropped out from the top lists and never made it to the top again. The company yet again is trying to test its luck by relaunching the same app under the name ‘Facebook Local.’

Right after rolling out 280 characters for all a couple of days ago, Twitter is adding another update that will let you add your ‘display name’ up to 50 characters in length. The original length of display name was 20 characters, so now you can add emojis, middle names, or seasonal-themed display names without hitting the limit.

Apple released iOS 11.1 update for iPhone and iPad last month that brought over 70 new emojis and several fixes. Now it has released iOS 11.1.1 update that fixes an autocorrect bug that has been plaguing a lot users since the iOS 11.1 update. The bug causes “i” to autocorrect to A[?] in the keyboard. Apple fixed it in iOS 11.2 beta, but Apple could not wait till iOS 11.2 release since it was affecting a lot of users. Alcatel has launched A5 LED and A7 smartphones in India. The A5 LED was introduced at the MWC earlier this and comes with LIGHTUP+ MOD that lights up with colors in different patterns. You can assign different LED cover patterns for incoming calls, messages, alarms, and social media alerts. The LED back cover is removable. The A7 that was introduced at the IFA in September comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, has a 16-megapixel rear camera and packs a 4000mAh battery.
