Honor 9 Lite with 5.65-inch FHD+ full-screen display, dual front and rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 10999

Huawei’s Honor brand today launched  Honor 9 Lite, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced in China last month and packs a 5.65-inch full HD+ full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Kirin 659 SoC, similar most other mid-range Huawei and Honor phones, but this runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 out-of-the-box. Google expands its presence in China, opens new office in Shenzhen

After announcing its plans to open its first AI lab in China last month, Google today has silently opened the 3rd office in Shenzhen in its latest expansion in China. Shenzhen city in China is known for being a global hardware hub, and the office isn’t a fully functional campus. Lenovo Miix 630 Hands On

Lenovo has partnered with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch a Snapdragon powered Always Connected PC – Miix 630 at CES 2018.  HP and Asus launched their products in December last year at the Snapdragon Summit.  I got my hands on the Miix 630 2-1 detachable and it is a pretty nice effort by Lenovo.

Vivo X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor gets certified

Vivo showcased the world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses an optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. Now the Vivo X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor has been certified by TENAA in China. This looks similar to what Vivo had showcased at the CES last week, even though the model number was mentioned as X20 Plus A.
