Huawei’s Honor brand today launched Honor 9 Lite, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced in China last month and packs a 5.65-inch full HD+ full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Kirin 659 SoC, similar most other mid-range Huawei and Honor phones, but this runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 out-of-the-box. Lenovo has partnered with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch a Snapdragon powered Always Connected PC – Miix 630 at CES 2018. HP and Asus launched their products in December last year at the Snapdragon Summit. I got my hands on the Miix 630 2-1 detachable and it is a pretty nice effort by Lenovo.
Vivo showcased the world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone that uses an optical fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. Now the Vivo X20 Plus UD with in-display fingerprint sensor has been certified by TENAA in China. This looks similar to what Vivo had showcased at the CES last week, even though the model number was mentioned as X20 Plus A.
