Xiaomi just announced Redmi Note 7, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone under the new ‘Redmi by Xiaomi’ brand in China, as it had promised. The phone packs a 6.3-inch Full HD+ waterdrop notch display with 1.95mm narrow bezels, is powered by Snapdragon 660 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 48-megapixel rear camera with 1/2″ Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, f/1.8 aperture with four-in-one pixel binning to make an 12MP image with 1.6μm pixel. It has a 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots and also comes with AI features. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front.
Google has announced that it will be rolling out the ad filter designed to block intrusive and disruptive ads in Chrome worldwide later this year. Huawei just launched the Y9 2019, a new mid-range smartphone in India, as it had promised. The phone was introduced couple of months back and packs 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a narrow chin and high screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and a 13-megapixel front camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera for portrait selfies, and both have AI photography features.
Along with two new Mi TV models, Xiaomi also launched the Mi Soundbar in India. It has eight drivers, including two 20mm dome tweeters for the highs, two 2.5” woofers for the mids and four passive radiators for the lows and enhanced bass. In Addition to Bluetooth, it also has Line-In, AUX, Optical and S/PDIF input options.

After announcing price cuts for Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2, Xiaomi today announced a price cut for the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone for the first time since it was launched in September last year. The 3GB+32GB of the phone now costs Rs. 9999 and the 4GB+64GB is now available for Rs. 11,999, after a Rs. 1000 price cut. It is available at new rates on Amazon.in, Mi.com and offline stores.

Xiaomi is all set to introduce its new Redmi smartphone at an event in China today in a couple of hours. Ahead of the launch, the company introduced the new Redmi by Xiaomi logo yesterday, today the company’s has confirmed that the phone will be called the Redmi Note 7 and the CEO Lei Jun has announced the appointment of Lu Weibing as the president of the new Redmi brand and vice president of Xiaomi.
