Reliance has launched the Re.1 instant video downloads for their customers followed by Airtel and Aircel. Airtel launched Re. 1 mobile video download service back in May. Aircel partnered with Techzone to launch a service called  Video Store @ Re. 1 to download download more than 20,000+ videos across more than 12 languages. The Reliance Video Store lets you download latest trailers, songs, sports and more. HTC One S will not get Android 4.2 or Sense 5, confirms HTC

HTC has confirmed that it would upgrade the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense, according to a report from the Engadget. HTC confirmed the Android 4.1 update for the HTC One X and the One S last year that rolled out for these devices at the end of last year. The Android 4.1.1 update for these devices brought Sense 4+. Motorola teases Moto X as the first smartphone you can design yourself

The Motorola Moto X was confirmed by the Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside back in May at the D11 conference that also revealed that the phone would be assembled in the USA. The new newspaper ad that was revealed by Ad Age reveals the Moto X smartphone campaign with a tag line “Designed by you . LG-F320 with Snapdragon 800 processor spotted in AnTuTu benchmark test

LG’s much awaited Optimus G2 handset might have just showed up in bencharks if an AnTuTu result is to be believed. The phone is believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and scores a very impressive 32,0002 points in the test. It is safe to assume that the handset with the codename F320 is in fact the LG Optimus G2 that the company intends to launch at it’s event in Korea on August 7th.

DROID Ultra landing page shows up on Motorola’s website

Motorola is all set to announce its next round of Android running devices. The company has partnered with Verizon and will be releasing the handsets as part of its Ultra series. In addition to the regular handset, we should also expect to see a MAXX edition which will pack a bigger and hence thicker battery pack. Rumors suggest that a smaller M model of the phone will also follow.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Unboxing

We have an exclusive unboxing of the just announced Samsung Galaxy  S4 Zoom camera phone first on FoneArena which was showcased at an event in London last month where we got a hands on this super-sized camera phone.The S4 Zoom is basically a Galaxy S4 mini with a zoom lens attached to it on the back. It looks like a phone from the front but the moment you get a glimpse of that 10x zoom lens on the back, you just can’t continue to think of the Galaxy S4 zoom as a phone, it feels more like a mini version of the Galaxy Camera which was launched last year.The main difference between the two is that the S4 Zoom can make phone calls while the Galaxy Camera can’t.  We got hold of the retail package from the Middle-East and here is a look at the device and the package contents. Fly has launched the Fly F351, an entry-level Android smartphone in India. It has a  3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM with dual standby and has 2G (EDGE) support. Vodafone India offers Rs. 4000 crore to retain 2G licenses in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata


Vodafone has offered to pay Rs. 4000 crore to the government to extend and continue its licenses in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, according to a recent report from PTI. Last month Vodafone announced that that they are taking all required actions, including legal against the Department of Telecom (DoT), regarding the 2G spectrum issue in these 3 metros. ZTE Open first commercial Firefox OS device goes on sale in Spain

Mozilla partnered with several operators worldwide to bring devices running on Firefox OS. The Firefox developer devices Keon and Peak manufactured by Spanish company GeeksPhone went on sale in April. There was a report that thes Firefox phones are expected to launch in 9 countries. Now the Telefónica has launched the ZTE Open in Spain that was unveiled at the MWC 2013. It is now on sale from Movistar stores in Spain priced at 69 Euros (~US$90) (inc. VAT). Idea introduces new packs with free incoming calls on national roaming


Idea Cellular has launched new roaming packs that would let you enjoy free incoming calls while roaming nationally. Airtel launched national roaming packs yesterday starting at Rs. 5/day. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last month.  Videocon made incoming calls free back in March without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Evernote has updated the Skitch app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.6 that brings new features including Adjustable Canvas that lets you add room at the edges of your image, map, or screenshot. If you annotate beyond the edge of your image, the canvas will now automatically expand to give you more space. The shapes have a much smaller minimum size in this version that makes it easier to highlight only the information you want to change or clarify. The version 2.0 update for iPhone and iPad brings new formatting options and the iPad app lets you access rich formatting options easily. The Android app version 15.0 update brings option to record audio notes, Home screen widgets and lots more features. Both the apps now ltes you access sync your notebooks on SharePoint, Office 365 and SkyDrive Pro. Facebook  5.0 beta for Windows Phone 8 users was released back in May. Now the app is finally out of beta and is available for download. This update brings lot of new features including a user interface, improved navigation, support for high-res pictures, post sharing, Facebook Timeline view, and more.
