Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S firmware reveals Sony IMX363 sensor, Android 8.0 Oreo and more

Earlier this week design sketch and render of the Mi MIX 2S surfaced. Now more specifications of the phone has surfaced, thanks to Mi Mix 2S firmware files that XDA-Developers got hold of. This confirms that the phone is code-named ‘polaris,’ as well as Snapdragon 845 SoC and Sony IMX363 camera sensor that coincides with earlier rumors. Comio C2 Lite and S1 Lite with selfie flash, 4G VoLTE launched in India for Rs. 5999 and Rs. 7499

Chinese ODM Topwise Communication has launched Comio C2 Lite and S1 Lite smartphones in India. Both these phones have a 5-inch HD display, are powered by quad-core MediaTek SoCs, run Android 7.0 (Nougat) and have 4G VoLTE support. The C2 Lite comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash and packs a 3900mAh battery. Alcatel POP4 10 4G tablet with 10.1-inch Full HD display and Alcatel A3 10 WiFi launched in India for Rs. 10999 and Rs. 6999

Alcatel today launched POP4 10″, the company’s latest tablet in India along with the WiFi version of the A3 10 that was launched last year. The POP4 10 packs a 10.1-inch Full HD display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC with 2GB of RAM, bit it runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE connectivity via SIM and voice calling capabilities. Nokia 6 4GB RAM version launched in India for Rs. 16999

HMD global introduced the Nokia 6 along with its other Android smartphones in India back in June, which went on sale in the country in August, now it has launched the 4GB RAM version of the phone, compared to 3GB RAM in the original version. Other specifications are same. The phone got Android 8.0 (Oreo) update recently, but this still comes with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out-of-the-box, according to the release. Motorola has launched its flagship Moto Z2 Force smartphone in India, as it had promised. It was introduced last year and packs a packs a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED shatterproof display, and the company even offers warranty against shattering and cracking of display and embedded lens for 4 years. It has a 6.1 mm slim body made of 7,000 series aluminum. It is powered by Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, coupled with 6GB of RAM and runs Android 8.0 (Oreo) out of the box. Nokia 7+ Android One edition with full-screen display, dual-lens ZEISS rear camera, Nokia 1 press images surface

HMD Global’s MWC 2018 event is scheduled for February 25th, now first press shots of the Nokia 7+ and Nokia 1 have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. This shows that the Nokia 7+ will be Android One edition and also coincides with earlier leak that revealed most of the specifications of the phone. It also shows the phone in both White and Grey colors with Orange accents.

Reliance Jio offers Rs. 2200 cashback, double data for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro

Xiaomi today launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India at an event in Delhi. At the launch the company announced that it has partnered with Reliance Jio to give the Biggest Jio offer ever to the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro users to its customers. The company had first partnered with Jio for Redmi 5A last year that offered Rs. 1000 cashback to the buyers.

Nokia 8 Android 8.1 Oreo update starts rolling out

HMD Global started rolling out Android 8.1 Oreo beta update for the  Nokia 8 smartphone last month. Now the company has started rolling out stable Android 8.1 (Oreo) update for the users. This was announced by Chief product officer; Juho Sarvikas on Twitter. The phone recently got a Rs. 8000 price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 28,999. Xiaomi Mi TV 4 55-inch 4K HDR TV with 4.9mm slim frameless design launched in India for Rs. 39999

Xiaomi just launched the the company’s Mi TV in India, as expected. It was introduced at the CES 2017 and was launched in China in May last year. IT has a 4K panel with support for HDR. It has  a 4.9mm slim frameless design and comes with  Patch Wall, a UI layer on top of the Android OS that’s based on deep learning AI technology that can curate content based on recommendations. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636, up to 6GB RAM launched in India starting at Rs. 13999

Along with the Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone, as rumored. Spectra launches 1Gbps broadband plan in Bengaluru starting at Rs. 899, unlimited 1Gbps plan at Rs. 1249

Spectra (formerly Spectranet) has launched 1Gbps broadband plans in Bengaluru, after Delhi NCR. It starts at Rs. 899 with 400 GB download limit with option of carrying forward the unused data, while unlimited 1Gbps plan without any cap costs Rs. 1,249. Spectra is present only in select areas in Bengaluru and is expected to expand across the city soon. With the Gigabit plan, Spectra will take on ACT Fibernet that started offering Gigabit broadband recently.
