Twitter for BlackBerry has been updated to version 4.0 that brings new streamlined design and new tabs for better interaction. Connect tab shows you who retweeted, favorited and followed you, and also shows mentions. The Discover tab shows Trends, Who to follow suggestions and makes it easy to browse categories. The Me tab shows Messages, lists and favorited Tweets. These new tabs were available for Twitter for Android and iPhone last December. Foursquare for iPhone has been updated to version 5.4 that brings new features including ratings, address, hours, menu, and phone number for new places, swipeable photos at the top of the venues, popular tips at the places you have visited and more. Richard Yu, Senior Vice President of Huwaei has confirmed that the company would unveil the Ascend D2 Android Smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels) display and Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 device at CES 2013. The Ascend D2 would be the successor of the Ascend D1 that was announced at MWC 2012. The Ascend W1 would be the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device. Samsung has announced Galaxy Grand, a new Android phone in the Galaxy series. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging, zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up. It also has a 2MP HD front-facing camera. It would come in dual SIM (GT-I9082) and single SIM (GT-I9080) variants. Zen Mobile has launched UltraTab A700 3G, their new tablet in the UltraTab range. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the UltraTab A100. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has a SIM card slot that supports 3G/2G SIM cards and also comes with voice calling capabilities. The Karbonn Smart Tab 10 (Cosmic) comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) display, 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The company started selling Smart Tab 1 tablet with Jelly Bean back in August. Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nokia Lumia 505 that was surfaced earlier this month has gone official for Mexico. The design of the Lumia 505 is similar to the Lumia 800. It comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED clear black display and runs on Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 8MP EDOF camera, unlike the other Lumia devices that has auto focus camera. It is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 131 grams. No details about the processor yet, but it is likely to come with a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor similar to Lumia 510.
