Huawei Ascend W1 hands-on

Huawei unveiled the Ascend W1, the company’s first Windows Phone handset at the CES 2013 earlier this month. We got you the hands-on photo gallery of the Ascend W1 from the event earlier this month, here is the hands-on video of the device. Even though the device has a large 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS display, the phone feels compact in hand. The display has OGS Technology that reduces the light consumption for a brighter and more vivid display. It has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 305 GPU and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS.

Huawei Ascend W1 with 4-inch display, Windows Phone 8 announced

Huawei has finally announced the Ascend W1, the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device. This has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS LCD display with OGS Technology that reduces the light consumption to make the screen brighter and more vivid, 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It has a 1950 mAh battery with unique power saving technology to save 30% of power. Huawei to unveil Ascend D2 with 5-inch 1080p display and Ascend W1 at CES 2013

Richard Yu, Senior Vice President of Huwaei has confirmed that the company would unveil the Ascend D2 Android Smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels) display and Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8 device at CES 2013. The Ascend D2 would be the successor of the Ascend D1 that was announced at MWC 2012. The Ascend W1 would be the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device.
