
Vodafone India launched the Superfan contest for their customers last month, that runs till May 20, 2013. Now the company has launched the Superfan Junior contest that would let 22 young boys and girls aged 6-12 years across India a chance to walk hand-in-hand on field with 22 of the world’s finest cricketing heroes competing at the Grand Finale of IPL 2013, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on 26th May 2013. Vodafone Superfan Junior will be selected basis the entry by Eligible Subscribers who need to be the parents or guardians of the children. Airtel launches Re. 1 mobile video downloads

You might have seen Airtel’s Re. 1 Mobile Video commercial on TV during the IPL. The company has officially launched the Re. 1 mobile video downloads. This new VAS service would let you download videos across 8 genres including movies, lifestyle, music, comedy and more from a vast collection of 30,000+ videos. Xolo Q700 with 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 coming soon

Xolo teased an upcoming smartphone on their official Facebook page few hours back, now the phone has appeared on online retail site Flipkart. Xolo launched the Q800, the company’s first phone with a quad-core processor back in March. The Xolo Q700 would be next phone in the Q-Core series. It has a 4.5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology that would reduce the phone’s thickness. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589W-M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3 (MP) VGA front-facing camera. It also has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Xolo smartphones. It packs a 2400 mAh battery, larger than the Q800. Byond B67 with 5-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor launched for Rs. 10999

Byond Tech has launched B67, a new Android Smartphone in the B-Series. It come with a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive multi-touch Touch display with scratch resistant glass, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Byond B66 that was launched back in February had similar features but it came with a single-core processor. It has a 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with dual standby and comes with anti-noise feature that improves the call quality. Karbonn S2 Titanium with 5-inch display, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coming soon for Rs. 10790

Karbonn is all set to launch the S2 Titanium, the company’s new Android smartphone in their Titanium range. The S1 Titanium which was launched earlier this year had a 4.5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) display and the S5 Titanium went on sale back in March had a larger 5-inch display with the same qHD resolution. The Karbonn S2 Titanium would come with a similar 5-inch display, but this would come with a FWVGA screen (854×480 pixels). It would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) similar to the other smartphones in the Titanium range. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Core, a new mid-range Android smartphone in the Galaxy series. This has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) LCD capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA)front-facing camera. It has Smart Stay, Smart Alert and S Voice assistant. This looks like a budget version of the Galaxy S2 Plus that went on sale in India back in March. It would also come in dual SIM variant with Smart dual SIM option, similar to the Galaxy Win that went on sale in India earlier this month. Sony Xperia L now available in India for Rs. 18990

Sony Xperia L that went on pre-order in India is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Xperia L was announced back in March along with the Xperia SP and packs a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor, 720p HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. Lenovo P770 Unboxing

Lenovo released the P770, the company’s latest Android phone with a massive 3500 mAh battery. We brought you hands-on video of the device from the CES 2013 earlier this year. Here we have the device for unboxing. It is has a 4.5-inch IPS screen at a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels at 245 PPI pixel density. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor and comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on-board with Lenovo’s own UI on top.

Samsung Galaxy Chat Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update now available in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Chat (GT-B5330) in India. The Galaxy Chat was announced back in July 2012 running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was officially launched in India in September 2012. Samsung confirmed Android 4.1 update for range of Galaxy devices last year. Samsung Galaxy S Advance received the Jelly Bean update in India last week. Oppo Find 5 Benchmarks

Oppo unveiled the Oppo Find 5 (X909), one of the first smartphones with a 1080p display back in December 2012. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We got some hands-on time with the device at the MWC 2013 earlier this year, and brought you the unboxing earlier today. Here we have the benchmarks of the devices. Let’s see how it performs when compared to other quad-core Android smartphones.
Acer Iconia A1 tablet with 7.9-inch IPS display, Android 4.2 goes official

Acer has officially announced the Iconia A1-810 tablet that surfaced last month. It has a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. Acer launched the Iconia B1 with a 7-inch display and a dual-core Mediatek processor in India earlier this year, so we can expect this table to launch in India. Gangstar Vegas open-world action game coming soon to Android, iPhone and iPad

Gameloft has released a teaser for their upcoming game Gangstar Vegas. It is an open-world action game, just like the GTA franchise. Rockstar games released the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game for Android and iOS last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of game, and the Grand Theft Auto III was released back in 2011. Gameloft released the Iron Man 3 game for Android and iOS recently as a free game, but this is likely to be released as at a premium price just like GTA.
