Lenovo K900 with 2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor launched in India for Rs. 32999

Lenovo has finally launched the K900, the first Intel Clover Trail+ powered smartphone in India. It was unveiled at the CES 2013 earlier this year and was expected to launch in India last month. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with at 419 PPI pixel density and Gorilla Glass 2 protection, powered by a  2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology to boost performance efficiency and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor BSI sensor, LED Flash and F1.8 focal length lens for wide aperture. The 2-megapixel front-facing camera has 88 degree viewing angle. HTC Desire XDS Dual SIM Android Smartphone now available in India for Rs. 16089

HTC Desire XDS, dual SIM variant of the HTC Desire X is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. The Desire XDS was announced in China last year as T329W. Other than the dual SIM support with dual standby, other features are similar to the Desire X that was launched in India last October, including a  4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display,  1 GHz Dual-core processor and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash. In packs a 1650 mAh battery and has built-in Beats Audio support. The HTC Desire U dual SIM smartphone went on sale in India online yesterday. Sony Xperia Tablet Z Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia Tablet Z, the company’s latest flagship tablet in India recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Xperia Tablet Z was originally announced in Japan earlier this year, and it was announced for global markets at the MWC 2013. It packs a a 10.1-inch HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, Shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 ProAPQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). HTC Desire U Dual SIM smartphone now available in India for Rs. 13499

HTC Desire U that was announced earlier this year is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense UI similar to the Desire V was launched last year. It has dual SIM support with dual standby, a 5-megapixel auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and Beats audio support. Lemon Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD with 720p and 1080p displays, quad-core processor coming soon

Lemon Mobiles launched the Aspire A1, the company’s latest flagship Android smartphone last month. Now the Aspire HD and Aspire Full HD, the company’s upcoming Android smartphones have surfaced on the official website. The Aspire HD would come with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and the Aspire Full HD would have a 5.3-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display as the name suggests. These phones look identical to the Zopo ZP810 and the ZOPO ZP980 from the Chinese manufacturer Zopo. Aircel launches new calling pack at Rs. 22 in Delhi, offers STD calls at 25p/min

Aircel has launched a new STD calling pack for prepaid customers in Delhi that offers national calls at 25 paise per minute. This would let people in Delhi stay connected with their friends and family outside the state at an affordable cost. Sony Xperia M and M dual with 4-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Sony has announced the Xperia M and M dual the company’s new mid-range Android smartphones. These phones have a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU.  Xperia M dual comes with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia M would launch on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is upgradable to Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. These phones are based on OmniBalance design similar to the Xperia Z, have LED illuminations for notification and NFC connectivity for one-touch functions. The Xperia M dual comes with dual SIM support with dual Standby. Qualcomm expands its Tablet Reference Design to support Snapdragon 400 chips for emerging markets

Qualcomm has announced that they have expanded its Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) portfolio with a reference design made specifically for 7-inch and 10-inch version of tablets running on its Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM 8230 and MSM 8030 processors. The tablets support 3G HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi and 1080 encoding and decoding. MTS that operates under Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has launched the Duet, the company’s latest dual SIM Android smartphone. The phone has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) HVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It supports CDMA on SIM card and GSM on the other. The phone comes bundled with voice & data plan. It comes with 3-megapixel rear camera, supports expandable memory up to 32GB and packs a 1200 mAh battery. Adobe Systems has released the Adobe Reader app for Windows Phone 8 finally. This app lets you View and Open PDF documents including password protected documents, search the text for specific words, zoom in on a page, Navigate docs easily with thumbnails, continuous scroll mode, Hyperlinks, bookmarks and more. Xolo X1000 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update coming this week

Xolo X1000 would get the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update this week, according to reports from NDTV Gadgets. Xolo launched the X1000, successor of the X900 back in March. Android Jelly Bean port for the Intel smartphones was ready back in September but the company released the phone running Android 4.0 at the launch. Xolo already promised at the launch that the phone would get the Jelly Bean update eventually.  The latest Xolo Smartphones, the Q700 and Q1000 powered by MediaTek chip comes with Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Celkon launched the A119Q Signature HD last month. It is the successor of the A119 Signature HD that was launched back in March. The Celkon A119 had a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU, the A119Q is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Gmail v4.5 for Android starts rolling out, brings Slide-out Navigation and new Inbox

Google has started rolling out the Gmail v4.5 update for Android. Google announced a new update for Gmail app for Android, iPhone and iPad last week. The new update brings new Inbox with tabs and categories such as Social, Promotions, Updates and Forums, slide-out navigation and lots more new features. Now there is a separate section for action confirmations in the settings. Now there is a pull to refresh option removing the refresh button and the compose and search buttons have moved to the top. HCL Infosystems has officially launched the ME Connect 2G 2.0 tablet. It went on sale online last week and packs a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It has 2G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calling. It supports reading and writing 11 local Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu ,Kannada, Bengali, Marathi and more. Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time trailer released, coming exclusively to iPhone and iPad in July


PopCap games announced back in August 2012 that a Plants vs. Zombies sequel would be released in Spring 2013. The company teased the game last month calling it Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time and saying that the game would be available in July 2013. Now the game trailer is finally here. The game would have new worlds with new levels, plants, zombies and new ways to play added gradually.  Check out the official game trailer below.
