Gionee has launched the Elife E8, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the E series in India, as it promised. It was announced back in June and packs a 6-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI 3.1 on top. It has a 24-megapixel rear camera with Dual tone LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens.

LG announced its flagship V10 smartphone in the new V series with a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum display, a second 2.1-inch (160 x 1040 pixels) screen and dual 5-megapixel front-facing camera cameras that has two separate lenses to capture standard 80 degree selfies or wide-angle selfies of 120 degrees. The company already said that it will go on sale in Korea starting this October, yesterday it confirmed that it will be available in domestic market starting from today, October 8th.

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Sambalpur in Orissa, after it launched it in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Balasore and Brahmapur. Airtel launched 4G services in 296 towns across India in August. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Vodafone already announced that it will launch 4G services in India by December 2015. It also said that Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Kochi circles will get 4G first. Today the operator has announced that it will roll out 4G services in Kerala by December 2015. It also said that Kochi, Trivandrum and Kozhikode will be in the first wave of the 4G roll-out, which will be launched across the circle in a phased manner. Huawei introduced its first Honor smart band called Honor Zero back in July, today the company has launched it in India as Honor Band Z1. It looks like a smartwatch, shows time and has a 1.06 inch (128 x 128 pixels) OLED display. It has brushed metal bezel around the dial and doesn’t have any physical buttons. Huawei introduced the Honor 7 smartphone in China back in July, and the international version of the smartphone was launched in Europe in August. Today the company has launched the Honor 7 in India. It packs a 5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC based on big.LITTLE configuration and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. The company has promised to roll out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone in beta in January and stable update will arrive in February 2016. It was announced earlier this year at the MWC, but the company did not launch it in India along with the 3G variant of the Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM in April. It has the same specifications as the 3G variant, including a 5.7-inch HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Windows Phone 8.1, 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and dual SIM support.
