Idea Cellular has launched its 4G LTE services across 12 towns in Orissa, after it launched 4G services in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Punjab regions. It launched 4G services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana in December last year. Huawei Honor 5X Benchmarks

Huawei launched the Honor 5X smartphone in India at a price tag of Rs. 12999 last week. It went on sale yesterday. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor (Even though CPU-Z shows it has Snapdragon 615) that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.50 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.21 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz, 2GB RAM, 5-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with EMUI 3.1 Lite. Singtel introduces Singapore’s first 10Gbps residential fibre service

Singtel today announced that it will offer Singapore’s first 10Gbps fibre broadband service to residential customers starting this month. It was piloted for a selected group of customers last year and uses next-gen 10GPON or Gigabit Passive Optical Network. It also features four 1Gbps ports so that it multi-user environments such as home offices and large households. HTC reports $101 million loss for Q4 2015, down 46% YoY

HTC today reported a net loss of NT$ 3.4 billion ($101 million), on revenue of NT$ 25.7 billion ($766 million) for its fiscal 2015 fourth quarter that ended December 31, 2015. This is the third consecutive loss for the company. Even though the operating profit is up 20% quarter-on-quarter, it is down 46% year-on-year. Microsoft officially confirms it has acquired SwiftKey

After reports, Microsoft has officially announced that it has acquired SwitKey, one of the popular keyboard app makers. The exact amount of the deal is not disclosed, but it is said to be $250 million, according to an earlier report. Microsoft said that it will continue to develop SwiftKey’s keyboard apps for Android and iOS and will also explore scenarios for the integration of the its core technology in its products. Meizu launched the MX5 smartphone running Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in India back in August last year, priced at Rs. 19,999. Today the company has released Flyme OS 5.1.3 stable update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for the Indian users finally. Microsoft Lumia 850 with 5.4-inch display, Iris scanner surfaces in live images

Microsoft Lumia 850 render based on factory-acquired schematics surfaced back in December last year, later the case of the smartphone leaked. Now live images of the smartphone have surfaced in a new leak from China (Via). The leak also says that the phone will have a 5.4-inch display compared to 5.5 / 5.7-inch screen as rumored earlier. It shows the smartphone’s metal frame and Iris Scanner at the top right corner.

Coolpad launched the Note 3 Lite smartphone with a fingerprint sensor and 3GB of RAM at a price tag of Rs. 6,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results. It packs a  2500mAh built-in battery, slightly less than the 3000mAh battery on the Coolpad Note 3. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Cool UI 6.0 on top. Check out the test results below.

Vodafone launches 4G LTE services in Delhi & NCR

Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Delhi and NCR, as it had promised last week, after launching it in Kerala, Mysore and Kolkata. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. New HTC Desire 500 and Desire 800 series phones with Android 6.0 expected before One M10

HTC is rumored to introduce it’s flagship One M10 smartphone codenamed ‘Perfume’ with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM sometime around the MWC 2016 later this month. Today, HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR said that the company will introduce two new smartphones, one in the Desire 500 series (codenamed A16) and Desire 800 series (codenamed A56) before the One M10 is announced. LeEco (formerly known as Letv) today announced that it sold 70,000 Le 1s smartphones in just 2 seconds in the first flash sale at 12 noon on Flipkart. The company said that this is a new record in India. Yesterday Flipkart announced that it received over 5,30,000 lakh registrations for the smartphone within 10 days after registration opened. Honor, Huawei’s Smartphone e-brand today announced that it has started selling it’s latest Honor 5X smartphone in India. “Since the start of sales on Flipkart and Amazon, at 12 a.m. on February 1, Honor 5X smartphone has witnessed strong demand, like its predecessor the Honor 4X. Honor 4X units were sold out within a minute of the flash sale, and the model sold over 10 million units globally,” said the company.
