Huawei launched the Honor Band Z1, sleep and fitness tracking band in India last month. It has a 1.06 inch (128 x 128 pixels) OLED display, looks like a smartwatch and shows time. It has brushed metal bezel around the dial and doesn’t have any physical buttons. It works with both Android and iOS devices, shows message notifications and incoming call alerts. NVIDIA introduced the SHIELD tablet K1 last week at a cheaper price of $199. Now the SHIELD tablet X1 has surfaced in GFXBench benchmarks revealing a similar 8-inch Full HD display, but this will be powered by the latest NVIDIA Tegra X1 Octa-Core (4x ARM Cortex A57 + 4x ARM Cortex A53) 20nm processor with 256-core Maxwell GPU. Obi Worldphone, backed by John Scully has launched Obi Worldphone SF1, it’s flagship smartphone in India, as it promised. It was introduced back in August and has a 5-inch 1080p display from JDI, which is slightly raised giving a floating feel, comes with 4G LTE connectivity with support for FDD B3 1800MHz and TDD B40 2300MHz bands for India, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a fiberglass body and metal accents at the top and bottom of the phone. It is designed by San Francisco-based product studio Ammunition.
OnePlus has started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.1.3 OTA update for the OnePlus X smartphone, as it promised couple of weeks back, when it rolled out the OxygenOS 2.1.2 update. Last month Google announced Accelerated Mobile Pages, its new open source initiative to improve the performance of the mobile web pages. Now the company has announced that first accelerated pages will come sometime in early 2016, so all the traffic from Google Search will go to Accelerated Mobile Pages. This competes with Facebook Instant Articles that was launched earlier this year for iPhone. It was also launched for Android users in India this month.
