Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100), the company’s latest top-end smartphone in the ‘Galaxy A’ series in China, after it surfaced last month. It packs a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 (Previously 620) processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the A9, but this a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 4GB of RAM and a 5000mAh battery. Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Plus smartphone in India earlier this month for Rs. 8499. We already brought you the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor (Even though CPU-Z shows it has Snapdragon 615) that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.50 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.21 GHz per core. Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Goa. Airtel launched 4G services in 296 towns across India back in August last year. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Xiaomi introduced Redmi 3 earlier this year, after the recent certification, Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi 3 Pro with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Other specifications remain the same, including a 5-inch HD screen, Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 SoC, MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi today introduced its new sub-brand, Mi Ecosystem, which is also known as MIJIA, which literally means Xiaomi Smart Home. It has also introduced a new rice cooker under the Mi Ecosystem with support for cloud connectivity since the cooker has built-in WiFi 802.11n. This lets you adjust the condition the rice needs to be cooked and control several features using the mobile app, which also comes with recipes. WhatsApp for iPhone recently got support for in-app notifications to quickly reply to them, now the Android app has also received support for quick replies so that you can reply to notifications easily without opening the app. This feature is available in the latest beta version 2.12.560 through the Google Play Store, so it is also not available through the website yet. Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 update for the Moto G (3rd Gen) smartphone in India, soon after rolling out the update for Moto X Play in the country. Motorola rolled out the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the smartphone earlier this year. The changelog is same as the Moto X Play that brings back camera shutter tone switch to turn off and on the sound of the camera shutter and also launch the camera by double-pressing the power button, but the changelog doesn’t mention support for Unicode 8.0 emojis.
