Yesterday, AMD announced a number of new processors in their server lineup of EPYC CPUs. The 4th generation of EPYC processors will come in two segments – one codenamed ‘Genoa’ with up to 96 Zen 4 cores, and another codenamed ‘Bergamo’ with up to 128 Zen 4c cores. Along with this, AMD also announced first exascale-class GPU accelerators called AMD Instinct MI200 series accelerators.
Samsung, a leader in memory and semiconductor technology, has unveiled their next generation 14nm-based 16Gb LPDDR5X DRAM. It will succeed the existing 8Gb LPDDR5 DRAM from Samsung, and is designed to boost speed, capacity and power savings for future 5G applications.
The latest release of WhatsApp beta reveals new details of a feature that the company is currently working, called Communities. The feature is an extension of WhatsApp’s groups feature, where group admins have more control over other groups in in WhatsApp.

Apple’s foray into making desktop-class processor was highly successful with the launch of M1. The company is reportedly working on 2nd gen and 3rd gen processors that will succeed the 1st gen M1 chips that will be built on TSMC’s 5nm and 3nm process respectively, and they are expected to outperform the equivalent future chips from Intel.

Telegram rolled a fresh update to their messaging apps that adds a couple of new features. These include a better experience when scrolling through shared media, join requests for Groups and Channels invite links, global chat themes on iOS and more.
During their Ignite 2021 conference, Microsoft has unveiled a new feature for Microsoft Teams called Mesh. The feature is designed to allow people in different physical locations to join virtual meetings, send chats, collaborate, and have shared holographic experiences, all via Microsoft Teams.

Lenovo announced two new products in their YOGA series of laptops, namely the YOGA Pro 14s Carbon Ryzen Edition and YOGA 16S Ryzen Edition 2022. As the names suggest, they are both powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile processors, feature up to 2.5K 120Hz displays, up to an 8-hour battery life and more.
According to a report by Counterpoint Research, the Indian TWS market recorded strong numbers during the third quarter of 2021. The market reportedly grew by 55% YoY in terms of shipments, and the top 5 manufacturers were boAt, realme, Noise, Apple and Boult Audio.
realme is a company that is well known among Indian consumers as a brand that makes smartphones, smartphone accessories, TVs and more. They have now entered a new product segment – the Indian laptop market, and has launched the realme Book (Slim). SpaceX, the American aerospace manufacturer, has announced the registration and opening of their India-based subsidiary of Starlink satellite-based internet company. Starlink also revealed their plans to launch nearly 2 lakh active user terminals by the end of 2022 to start operations.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last month, featuring a QHD+ 120Hz OLED display. In the past week, multiple user reports have emerged that show a weird display flickering issue when the phone is switched off and the power button is clicked. Google has acknowledged the issue and has announced a software fix is incoming with the December software update.
Following the declining shipments trend of the worldwide smartphone market, the worldwide market for Chromebooks and tablets recorded a decline of 29.8% YoY and 9.4% YoY respectively during Q3 2021. In a report released by the International Data Corporation, the amount of Chromebooks shipped were 6.5 million units while the amount of tablets shipped were 42.3 million units.
Earlier this year, there were multiple rumours talking about Apple working on a new Mixed Reality headset that may launch in 2022. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the headset will feature support for Wi-Fi 6E and is expected to cost a lot.

About two weeks ago, Apple unveiled their newest additions to the MacBook line up, which included the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors. iFixit has performed and posted their teardowns of these laptops, showcasing the internals and changes that Apple has made with this generation.
During their IAA MOBILITY 2021 event, LG Electronics has announced that their next generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system will be featured in the upcoming 2022 Renault Mégane E-TECH Electric SUV. The IVI system which is based on the Google Android Automotive, will utilizes LG’s Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and provide a wide variety of infotainment features.
