
Sony announced the Xperia SP and the mid-range Xperia L smartphone yesterday. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia SP has a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and the Xperia L comes with a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor. Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 price revealed for UK, coming in April

Both the Nokia Lumia 520 and the Lumia 720 are available for pre-order in UK from online retailer Clove. Both these devices were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this week. The Lumia 520 has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display and the Lumia 720 comes with a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack LCD display. Sony Xperia T Review

Having left the name Sony Ericsson behind it, Sony’s revitalised mobile division is wasting no time in pumping out as many top-tier handsets as possible. The Xperia S has only been on the market for a few months and already it’s getting usurped by the Xperia T – a handset which comes pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC capabilities and a massive 4.6-inch TFT screen.
The other talking point is contained within the device itself in the shape of a Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, backed by 1GB of RAM. Sony is insisting this puts the Xperia T on a level playing field with its quad-core rivals, like the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3, but is this merely empty marketing hype? Samsung ATIV S gets priced in UK, Shipping late October

Samsung unveiled the first Windows Phone 8 device, ATIV S at IFA Berlin in August but didn’t reveal the availability or the pricing at that time. Now, UK’s online retailer Clove has announced that it is now availalble for pre-order with them and would ship at the end of this month. The Samsung ATIV S packs in a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. HTC One X+ gets priced in UK, coming on October 22

HTC announced the One X+, and upgraded version of the One X with a 4.7 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Super LCD HD display and 1.7 GHz quad-core Ap37 Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. UK’s online retailer Clove UK has announced that it is now available for pre-order with them, and it would start shipping on October 22nd. The One X+ comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with HTC Sense 4+ UI and has Beats audio support. It is 8.9mm thick and weighs 135g. Samsung ATIV Tab gets a pre-order price in UK, coming in October

Samsung ATIV Tab running Windows RT Tablet with Windows UI has received a price tag in UK. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that it would be available in UK by the end of October. Microsoft was the first to reveal their Surface Tablet. The Windows RT version is expected to launch by October-end but they did not reveal the price. Motorola Razr i gets priced in UK, coming in October

Motorola announced the Razr i, their first smartphone powered by Intel’s Medfield processor today. UK’s online retailer Clove has confirmed that it would launch in UK at the first week of October. The Razr i packs in similar features as a the Razr M including a edge-to-edge 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED Advanced display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection but it is powered by a 2GHz Intel Medfield processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Unlocked Apple iPhone 5 Prices for UK Revealed

While Apple has revealed only the Contract-only pricing for the Apple iPhone 5 in the US, the company is going to sell unlocked versions of the iPhone 5 at launch in the UK. Interestingly the base model starts from 529 pounds an increase of 30 pounds compared to the iPhone 4S. One point to note is that the price includes a 20% VAT or Sales Tax. If you were thinking of getting the iPhone 5 from UK , 529 GBP at current pound levels is about Rs.47000 approx in terms of the Indian Rupee. 4G LTE Speed Test on EE featuring the Galaxy S3 LTE and Ascend P1 LTE
Today’s announcement by EE on the arrival of 4G LTE in the UK heralds a new era in this Britain’s telecommunication industry. It’s been a long time waiting, and judging by the initial hands on demonstration, it seems that it will be worth the wait.
Huawei’s Ascend P1 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 were two of the few handsets on display at the EE press conference today. Initial speed test shows that the devices were capable of achieving and maintaining 25+Mbps download and 12+Mbps upload speed, a fair upgrade over T-Mobile’s current 3G network.
No price plans has been announced yet. The rollout of EE’s 4G LTE network will begin this year and they aim to cover 1/3rd of the population by the end of the year.

Everything Everywhere launches a new company brand, LTE in Britain
Everything Everywhere, the UK telecommunication company that was formed following the merger of T-Mobile and Orange UK, today announced a new company brand and details of their LTE network, the first in Britain. The company will from today be called EE, though the T-Mobile and Orange brands will continue to co-exist. EE is positioning the new brand as one focused on delivering super fast broadband via fiber and 4G LTE service.
EE’s 4G network will be switched on for trials today in London, with more cities joining at a later date. In addition to London, EE aims to launch LTE Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Edinburgh, Belfast, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle, Southampton, Hull, Nottingham and Derby by Christmas of this year. They aim to provide a coverage for 20 million people, a third of the population of Britain, by the end of the year.
EE has insisted that the new brand will allow them to tap other markets, including fibre and broadband as well as other new categories. While the 700 T-Mobile, Orange and Everything Everywhere stores will be rebranded to EE, there will be three distinct brands for consumers, with EE focused primarily on the top-end of the spectrum. Phones confirmed to be launching on the network includes the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE, HTC One XL, Huawei Ascend P1 LTE, Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920.

Nokia Lumia 800 gets a Price Cut at UK Retailer

A Reuters report indicated earlier today that Nokia was cutting the prices of older Lumia phones and also indicated that company would cut the price of it’s 1st Windows Phone by around 15%. Now a UK retailer is selling the Black Lumia 800 for as low as 195 pounds ( 234 GBP including VAT) or Rs.17500 approximately which is the lowest price for the handset since it’s launch last year. The handset is retailing for around Rs.23000 currently in India and it is not clear if the price cut will be applicable here.

Sony Xperia J that was announced at IFA last week has been priced in UK. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that it would be available late October. The Xperia J has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with gorilla glass protection, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It is 9.2 mm thick and weighs 124 grams. HTC Desire X gets a pre-order price in UK

HTC announced the Desire X few hours ago, and the online retailer Clove UK has announced that they are now taking pre-orders for the device. It comes with a 4.0-inch (800 X 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash, but it records videos only at WVGA resolution, and not at 720p HD resolution.
