Motorola Razr i gets priced in UK, coming in October


Motorola announced the Razr i, their first smartphone powered by Intel’s Medfield processor today. UK’s online retailer Clove has confirmed that it would launch in UK at the first week of October. The Razr i packs in similar features as a the Razr M including a edge-to-edge 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED Advanced display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection but it is powered by a 2GHz Intel Medfield processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It is just 8.3 mm thin and weighs 126g.

It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that is upgradeable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by end of 2012. It comes with an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p HD recording and a VGA front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording. The camera can capture 10 pictures in less than a second. It has DuPont Kevlar fiber at the back.

It has 1 GB RAM, 8GB internal memory (5GB user memory), microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 32GB. The connectivity features include, 3G HSPA+ 21 Mbps, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1, GPS / aGPS, NFC. It has 2000 mAh battery.

The Motorola Razr i is now available for pre-order from Clove at 285 GBP (~US$439) (342 GBP inc. Tax). The first stocks are expected in the first week of October.
