LibreOffice, a community-driven software that is available for desktop is now available in the form of LibreOffice Viewer Beta for Android. Created by Collabora engineers, this is a Open Source app for smartphones and tablets that lets you view documents, spreadsheets, and basic presentations in Open Document and Microsoft Office formats. Whatsapp comes to PC via the browser, no support for the iPhone app yet

Whatsapp, the world’s most popular instant messaging platform, now comes to the PC, via the web browser route. The web client, which currently works only on Google’s Chrome, will let you chat with your friends right from the comforts of a browser, a long standing request finally fulfilled by the company. The functionality currently works on the updated version of Whatsapp on Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices, while iPhones are not getting the feature due to “platform limitations”, according to Whatsapp chief Jan Koum.

WhatsApp is testing a web client, according to screenshots shared in unofficial WhatsApp community by a Mexican user. WhatsApp Messenger screenshots in Spanish shows the instructions to use the web client. This will work like Airdroid or other clients that offers remote web access. ASUS Keyboard with Hindi and Tamil support released for India

ASUS has released ASUS Keyboard for its Zenfone series of smartphones and its Android tablets in India. Even though the app was available on Google Play since last year, the company has added Hindi and Tamil languages for Indian users. ASUS has promised to add more languages and localized features soon. The keyboard offers accurate next-word prediction and suggestions, auto-correction and a learning capability, says the company.

Google recently updated its Hangouts app for iPhone and iPad to add several new features, including intelligent, one-tap location sharing. It automatically detects when a contact in a text chat asks where you are, and lets you share your location with a single tap. Samsung has partnered with Autism Speaks Canada to 200 Galaxy Tab S devices pre-loaded with the Look at Me app. This will be given to 200 families with children with autism.
