Samsung Gear S2, Gear S2 3G and Gear S2 classic smartwatches with 1.2-inch Circular displays announced
Samsung has announced its Gear S2 range of smartwatches – Gear S2, Gear S2 3G and Gear S2 classic, ahead of IFA 2015. Last year it announced only one version called the Gear S with 3G support. All these have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. These also have Home and Back buttons to access notifications and applications easily.The Gear S2 3G has built-in e-SIM support that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support. Google introduces Android Wear smartwatch support for iPhone
Google has finally launched Android Wear app for iOS, so that Android Wear smartwatches will now work with Apple iPhone 5 or above (with iOS 8.2 or later). Once paired, it offers alerts for calls, messages and notifications and syncs you fitness data, but it currently doesn’t have support for third-party apps and integrates only with Google Apps like Google Search, Calendar and Gmail. It supports third-party watch faces though, unlike Apple Watch. It also lets you use ‘Ok Google’ voice commands to set Google Now reminders, open the Weather app, set timers, and more. Sony take wraps off Wena Wrist smartwatch with NFC payment, LED alerts and more

Apple grabs No. 2 spot in global wearables market, Fitbit maintains lead: Report
Apple has become the second largest wearable maker in the world, according to a latest report from IDC. The company sold 3.6 million Apple Watches in the second quarter of 2015 just 0.8 million units behind Fitbit which maintained the top spot with 4.4 million units.
