Evernote Peek for iPad v2.1 update brings new virtual cover

Evernote Peek app for iPad has been updated to version 2.1 that brings a new swipeable Virtual Cover. The Evernote Peek is a learning app designed for the iPad 2 Smart Cover. The Virtual Cover maintains the dynamics of a Smart Cover, but could be used with any iPad. Now, when you launch Peek, you’ll be able to swipe down a tab and select a Virtual Cover of your choice—it’s available in 10 colors. Choose your study materials, close the cover, peek to see the clue, open the cover more to see the answer. BBM Music launched in US, Canada and Australia


RIM has launched their own cloud based music service, BBM Music after closed Beta trial of several months in Canada, the United States and the UK. The BBM music was announced in August.  The BBM Music is powered by cloud music service provider, Omnifone and it has millions of songs from leading music companies. The BBM music lets you listen to full tracks from the friend’s profile, build a music profile with 50 of your favorite songs with an option to swap 25 songs each month and create multiple playlist. The more BBM friends with BBM Music Premium subscriptions you have, the more songs you can share. Opera Mini 6.5 now available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian S60 and Java Phones

Opera has launched their latest Opera Mini 6.5 with Data Usage view and bookmark import for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian S60 and Java Phones. The Opera Mobile 11.5 browser is now also available on Symbian S60. The Data Usage view keeps count of how much data you are spending and saving in total, or for a specific time frame. It is said to save 90% of data cost. The Opera Mini and Mobile for Android was launched last month. A week after the Nokia Lumia 800 was announced, and less than a week after Nokia World 2011 ended, Nokia has begun sending samples of the Nokia Lumia 800 to the press. This is an impressive turnaround compared to previous years. In addition to that Nokia has also announced that the Lumia 800 will be released on 16 November, two weeks from now. Samsung GALAXY Note launched in India at Rs. 34990


Samsung has launched their new Android smartphone device, the Samsung GALAXY Note. It has 5.3 inch (1280 x 800 pixels), 285 PPI HD Super AMOLED display which is the largest on any phone till date. It features 1.4GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has advanced pen-input technology, called the S Pen for sketching and artwork. It is  9.65mm thick and weighs 178g. TRAI increases daily SMS limit from 100 to 200


The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) restricted the mobile users from sending more than 100 SMS / day per SIM starting 27th September 2011, to prevent pesky marketing SMS. Now TRAI has increased the limit from 100 to 200 SMS / day per SIM after they received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM.
