Nokia Lumia 800 white version hands-on

It seems apt that Nokia has chosen to announced a new colour Lumia 800 this week. Europe has been blankated by snow – so what better way than to celebrate than making official the white version. White Nokia Lumia 800 coming to Europe in February

 

Nokia Lumia 800 is now available in Black, Cyan and Pink, Nokia has announced that the Lumia 800 would be available in White later this month. The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Nokia might have shipped over 1 million Lumia smartphones last year

Bloomberg reports that if analyst figures are to be believed , the Nokia Lumia series of handsets might have shipped in excess of 1million handsets so far. The figure was achieved by taking an average of the input from 22 different analysts , in other words it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 Windows Phone devices coming in mid-December to India

Nokia and Microsoft has unveiled the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, Nokia’s first Window Phone devices in India. Both the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 were unveiled at the Nokia World 2011 in London. The Nokia Lumia 800 has a unibody design and comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack AMOLED display. The Nokia Lumia 700 comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack TFT display. Both these devices are powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion CPU and runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) OS. Welcome to the FoneArena Nokia Lumia 800 Review. It is barely eight months after Stephen Elop’s infamous burning platform memo, Nokia has announced their first ever Windows Phone 7 device and has even begun shipment to retailers in Europe. Many thought it was impossible, but Nokia did it anyway. Is this a sign that the once complacent giant has finally woken up to the reality of mobile phone business in the 21st century?

Speak to many Nokia employees and in their views are the same: the Lumia 800 is Nokia’s comeback phone. It isn’t the high end device that many hoped for, but it is the first step.
