Norway’s Minister of Culture announced that Norway will become the first country to turn off FM Radio to complete their transition over to digital radio in the year 2017. FM (Frequency Modulation) Radio was patented back in 1933 and it has been a very popular and successful audio medium for almost a century.

Oppo has launched Oppo Joy Plus, the company’s latest budget Android smartphone and the successor of last year’s Oppo Joy in India. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS ultra-sensitive touch screen with glove mode, is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Color OS 2.0. It has a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 3G connectivity and dual SIM support. Asus is ready to launch the Zenfone 2 in India on April 23, the same day when Xiaomi is launching Mi 4i. The company’s official online partner Flipkart for Asus Zenfone series has already listed the teaser page for the Zenfone 2 now, suggesting that the new series will also be exclusively available by the retailer. Sony has announced the Xperia Z4, the company’s latest flagship at an event in Japan. It has the same 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display similar to the Z3, but this is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor. OnePlus launched its 10,000mAh OnePlus Power Bank back in December last year and it went on sale in the U.S. though the official online store last month. OnePlus already said that the power bank will launch in India in April and they were are working on logistics process. Microsoft launched the Lumia 532 Dual SIM in India earlier this year for Rs. 6,499. New photos have surfaced of a handset that could very well be the Sony XPERIA Z4 as it looks very similar to what we’ve seen in the past photos rumoured to be that of the Z4. In the images, Sony has referred to the phone as XPERIA Z Fourth Generation. We are not sure if this means that Sony is planning to change it’s naming scheme. Perhaps instead of having Z2, Z3, Z4 etc they will name their handsets XPERIA Z Generation 4, 5 etc. Perhaps it is to make things simpler as they plan on releasing just one flagship phone per year compared to their previous cycle of two phones per year.
