It was announced this March and packs in 1GHz Dual Core Processor, 3.7-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and has 5MP autofocus camera with flash and 720p HD video recording. Sprint and Sierra Wireless has 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot that is the first device in the US to combine 4G connections over LTE and WiMAX networks. With the Sierra Wireless Tri-Fi Hotspot, customers can extend their Sprint 3G/4G experience beyond their laptops to up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices. It also has a microSD slot that enables you to share files with network storage and could be used as a digital media server without any software. I’m currently attending CTIA in New Orleans in USA and guess what I found at a Mobile Focus show last nite here – the Samsung Galaxy S3 which was just shown off in London last week is now being show off here. I held the S3 for the first time in the hand and it felt nice except for the plasticky outer shell. The display was gorgeous and the phone was screaming fast. Nokia has announced that have partnered with Vodafone India and Airtel to offer integrated billing solutions on the Nokia Store in India. They partnered with Reliance to introduce operator billing on Nokia Store last year. This would let users download local and global paid content from the Nokia Store and pay for their downloads as part of their monthly mobile phone bills or have the amount deducted from the pre-paid balance. Sony Mobile has announced 2 new LTE-enabled smartphones, Xperia GX and Xperia SX for the Japanese markets. They unveiled Xperia NX and arco HD for Japan earlier this year. The Xperia GX comes with 4.6-inch Reality display and the Xperia SX has a 3.7-inch Reality display. BlackBerry maker RIM (Research in Motion) has announced its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Kristian Tear is the new COO and Frank Boulben is the new CMO. Tear served as Executive Vice President of Sony Mobile Communications previously and has held operational leadership positions with Ericsson in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Boulben is the former Executive Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Sales for LightSquared. He previously severed as Global Director of Commercial Strategy for Vodafone Group and Executive Vice President of Brand and Consumer Marketing for Orange Group. RIM (Research in Motion) has announced BlackBerry Curve 9320 with 3G connectivity. They launched the BlackBerry Curve 9220, an affordable smartphone with 2G connectivity in India last month. It has similar design as the 9220 and has 2.44-inch (320×240 pixels) TFT display with a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated BBM button. It is the 3rd Windows Phone smartphone on AT&T with 4G LTE support after Nokia Lumia 900 and HTC HTC Titan II. Airtel has launched their 4G LTE services in Bengaluru followed by the launch in Kolkata last month. They appointed Huawei to mange their network in Karnataka. As an introductory offer customers subscribing to 4G services will now be given a cash-back for the CPE / dongle that are priced at Rs. 7,750 and Rs. 7,999 respectively. Airtel 4G is now also available in an all new break free ultimate plan that offers 30GB free usage and is priced at Rs. 2999. They have also introduced Smartbytes so that customers can buy these add on packs and continue enjoying the 4G experience even after exhausting their monthly data limits on their plan.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S3 yesterday, online retailer Clove UK has announced that they are now taking pre-orders for the 16GB variant of the Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S3 packs in 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display, 1.4GHz Quad-Core and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
