Intex AQUA 4.0 Dual SIM Android phone launched for Rs. 5490

Intex has launched AQUA 4.0, their first Android Smartphone with Dual SIM support. It comes with a 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) and is powered by 800 MHz processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 3MP rear camera and a front-facing 0.3MP camera and includes, Gravity, Light and Proximity sensors that are not usually present on a budget Android phone. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Tab 750) Android 4.0 update now rolling out in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Tab 750) in India. This 10.1-inch tablet was launched in India last August, and it came with Android 3.1 (Honeycomb). The Android ICS update would bring redesigned user interface with new TouchWiz UI, improved multi-tasking, notifications, faster browser and much more new features. It would also download new Ebook app from the Samsung Apps once you enter the App Store for the first time, after the update. HTC One S and Desire C get a price cut in India

HTC One S and Desire C has got a price cut and are available for Rs. 28,900 and Rs. 12,700, according to our friends at Mahesh Telecom. The HTC One S was officially launched in India in June for MOP (Best Buy) of Rs. 33,590 and the Desire C officially launched in India at the end of June for MOP (Best Buy)  price of Rs 14,999. LG teases quad-core smartphone with Snapdragon S4 Pro in a new video

LG Korea has posted a new video and a new teaser site for their upcoming quad-core smartphone with Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Qualcomm announced yesterday that they would supply Snapdragon S4 Pro to LG for a new quad-core smartphone. This video doesn’t explain much, other than the CPU and GPU. From the blank spaces in the site, we can expect 5 more videos in coming weeks that might reveal details about the Camera, Display and Battery of the device. LG quad-core phone with Snapdragon S4 Pro coming in September


Qualcomm has announced that they would supply Snapdragon S4 Pro to LG for their new quad-core smartphones. This would also come with 3G/LTE multi-mode capabilities. LG’s latest phone Optimus 4X HD that launched recently in India and the global variant of the Optimus Vu with the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad processor in the Global variant of the Galaxy S3 lacks LTE capabilities. Acer Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo with 4.3-inch display, Android 4.0 announced

Acer has announced 2 new phones, Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo. The Liquid Gallant is Single SIM and Liquid Gallant Duo is a Dual-SIM variant that share similar specs. The Liquid Gallant Duo was spotted at Expansys last month at a price of 149 GBP (US$230) but later removed. These phones come with a 4.3-inch (960×540) display, 1GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash. These phones have power button on the back of the phone to access it comfortably. Sony Xperia ion officially launched in India for Rs. 36,999


Sony has officially launched the Xperia ion, their new smartphone in the Xperia line-up. It comes with 500MB of free 3G data per month for 3 months and 200 minutes of Mobile TV (through appXtra application) for a period of 2 months. This offer is valid till 30th Nov 2012. It went on sale from online retailer in India earlier this month.  It has 4.55-inch (1280 x 720 pixels ) HD Reality display and comes with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. Sony to ship Exmor RS CMOS image sensors for Smartphones and Tablets starting from October

Sony announced back-illuminated stacked 8MP and 13MP CMOS image sensors for smartphones and tablets back in January. Now they have announced that they would start shipping these starting from October 2012. The IMX135 type 1/3.06 model with 13.13 effective mega pixels and the IMX134 type 1/4 model with 8.08 effective mega pixels would feature RGBW coding function and HDR (High Dynamic Range) movie function. Samsung Galaxy S Duos with 4-inch display, 1 GHz processor, Android 4.0 announced

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S Duos that surfaced last month. It has Dual SIM support with Dual SIM always-on feature similar to the Galaxy Ace Duos that automatically forwards calls from the phone number on SIM 2, even if a user is on the phone with SIM 1’s number. It has 4.0-inch WVGA(480×800) capacitive touch screen display and 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).It also comes with ChatON, Samsung’s communication service. Sony Xperia SL with 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 official

Sony Xperia SL has made an early appearance on the Sony website. It was supposed to be announced at IFA 2012 next week. It looks similar to the Xperia S that we reviewed in April, but pack in a faster 1.7 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.
