LG has introduced G2 Lite (D295) and L Prime (D337) in Brazil. These new smartphones that are variants of L Fino and L Bello smartphones that were launched in India recently. The LG G2 Lite has a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The L Prime has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with premium UX features.

NVIDIA already announced that the Shield Tablet would be updated to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) soon. Now it has announced that the update would be available as early as this November, so we can expect the roll out to begin in the next few weeks. Google has released Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for the Nexus 9 tablet and the Nexus Player Android streaming device. The Android 5.0 binaries are available for the Nexus Player, but it is yet to release binaries for the Nexus 9 tablet included in the factory images itself. Earlier this week we heard that the UK government was considering introducing legislation to allow customers to roam across any mobile network when they had no coverage. A leading American law firm has been asked to look into claims that Phones4u’s directors and mobile network partners were responsible for the company’s collapse into administration. Sky News has learnt that Quinn Emanual Urquhart and Sullivan has been appointed by the chain’s administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), to look into the action of the directors before the demise. This could lead to legal action should the directors be judged to have breached their fiduciary duties as company directors.

Last week Sony released the PS4 Remote Play app on Google Play to support PS4 Remote Play capabilities on the Xperia Z3 series. It said that it would bring PS4 Remote Play features to the Xperia Z2 series including the Xperia Z2 and the Z2 Tablet in the coming weeks.
