Xiaomi launched its budget Redmi 5 smartphone in India last week and said that it will be available exclusively from Amazon.in as well as  Mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting March 20th. Today the company has announced that over 4 lakh units will be available for tomorrow’s sale compared to 3 lakh units for the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro that were sold out in 3 minutes  during the first sale. OPPO R15 with 6.28-inch FHD+ 19:9 OLED display, 20MP front camera, dual rear cameras, Android 8.1 announced

OPPO just announced its flagship R15 series of smartphones in China. It comes with a 6.28-inch FHD+ 19:9 aspect ratio OLED display with a notch with a 1.78mm narrow frame and 90% screen-to-body ratio. It calls it Super-V Display. The R15 is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P60 12nm SoC, while the R15 Dream Mirror Edition is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC. Samsung Galaxy S9+ 256GB available exclusively at Reliance Digital, Jio Stores with 70% buyback for Jio users

Samsung launched the Galaxy S9+ in India last week and the phone went on sale in the country from today. As it had announced at the launch event, the 256GB version of the S9+ is exclusively Reliance Digital stores and Jio Stores in addition to Samsung exclusive stores and Samsung Shop. It also said that those who do a cumulative recharge of minimum Rs. 2500 within 12 months from any of the available Jio plans, they would be eligible for 70% of the MRP as buyback amount on return of the device after a year when the S9+ 256GB version is purchased at Reliance Digital Stores, Jio Stores or Jio.com.

Xiaomi Blackshark SKR-A0 gaming phone with Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM surfaces again in benchmarks

A new smartphone code-named Blackshark surfaced on AnTuTu, now the phone has surfaced on Geekbench listing revealing the code-name of the phone as  SKR-A0. This is believed to be Xiaomi’s first gaming smartphone under the new  Black shark brand, in which Xiaomi started investing last year.

TP-Link’s Neffos brand has introduced Neffos N1 , the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘N series’. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android  7.1 (Nougat), has 12-megapixel (monochrome + RGB) dual rear cameras, PDAF for portrait shots a and an 8-megapixel front camera.
