Vivo just introduced its flagship NEX series smartphones as it had promised. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 6.59-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with ultra narrow 1.71 mm bezels on the sides, 2.16mm on the top and an 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. It doesn’t have an earpiece, instead it vibrates the screen using Screen SoundCasting Technology that promise better bass and softer treble. It uses ray data compensation algorithm that hides the light sensor at the bottom of the screen, thanks to an innovative design. The micro-slit infrared sensor is also hidden at the top of the screen. Nokia announces completion of 5G new radio data call with 4G and 5G dual connectivity in China
Nokia today has announced that it has successfully completed an end-to-end 5G New Radio (5G NR) data call. This is a part of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) 5G Technology R&D trial. The 3GPP-compliant dual connectivity call was conducted using a 5G NR system over-the-air on the 3.5GHz frequency band and LTE in the 2.1 GHz frequency band, supported by a 5G user equipment simulator provided by PRISMA Telecom Testing. Reliance Jio offers 1.5GB additional data per day for all users till June 30

Uber today launched Uber Lite app in India for entry-level smartphones is less storage like Android Oreo Go Edition devices. The app is just 5MB in size, compared to 40MB Uber Android app, works even if you have limited coverage like 2G networks, and lets you book your ride in four taps. Samsung appeals against $539 million Apple patent case verdict

Samsung is not stopping its fight against Apple, the company has asked the court last Thursday to either dismiss the judgment in its phone patent fight with Apple or retry the case in which the damages were decided. Samsung has filed a 34-page post-trial motion filed with the US District Court in San Jose, California suggesting that the jury’s $539 million verdict is “excessive” and not supported by the evidence. Xiaomi just announced the Redmi 6, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series and the successor of Redmi 5 that was announced back in December last year, as it had promised. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ display 18:9 aspect ratio display with 80.7% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 on top, which will be upgraded to MIUI 10. It packs a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI portrait shots. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with face unlock and AI portrait.
