Demonetization to slow down PC, phone sales in India in Q4 2016: IDC

Vodafone today announced that its 8.4 million plus M-Pesa customers can withdraw cash using their digital wallet from any of the over 120,000 Vodafone M-Pesa outlets across the country, subject to availability. To avail the cash withdrawal facility, customers need to carry an identity proof to their nearest Vodafone M-Pesa outlet from where they can withdraw money, subject to availability, in line with RBI guidelines. Samsung reportedly in talks with Lenovo to sell its PC business

Tablet shipments in India up 7.8% in Q3 2016, Datawind continues lead: IDC

A total of 1.06 million tablets including slate and detachables have been shipped in India in CY Q3 2016 remaining stagnant over the same period last year, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). The total tablet shipments grew 7.8 percent in Q3 2016 over Q2 2016.
