After Airtel started eSIM activation for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR in India a few days back, and quickly paused it, Reliance Jio has started eSIM activation for the eligible iPone users from today, after the support was enabled with iOS 12.1 update earlier this week. Hackers publish private messages from at least 81,000 Facebook accounts, Rogue Browser extension blamed

According to a BBC Report, Hackers said to have compromised and published private messages from at least 81,000 Facebook users’ accounts. The perpetrators said that they had details from a total of 120 million accounts, which they were attempting to sell. However, Facebook says that its security has not been compromised. Worldwide tablet shipments declined 8.6% in Q3 2018, Apple and Samsung continue to lead: IDC

According to IDC, the worldwide tablet market declined 8.6% during the Q3 2018. The global shipments fell to 36.4 million and the slate tablets accounted for the majority of the market with 31.6 million units, down 7.9% from the previous year. Detachable tablets also declined, down 13.1% from the previous year, and accounted for 4.8 million unit shipments. Honor WaterPlay Water-resistant tablet with 8-inch display, dual rear cameras, 4G LTE, 5100mAh battery announced

A year after the introduction of the Honor WaterPlay, its first water-resistant tablet with IP67 ratings, the company has launched a 8-inch version of the tablet. It has a 8-inch WUXGA screen, is powered by Kirin 659 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It has stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 5.0 3D audio technology and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 9.0.2 update brings 6T features including Nightscape, Studio Lighting and new navigation gestures

After OnePlus 6 got open beta 6 update earlier this week that brought several features that OnePlus introduced on the OnePlus 6T including new navigation gestures, Nightscape, Studio Lighting and more, the company has rolled out stable OxygenOS 9.0.2 update that with the features. It also adds support to launch Google Assistant or other third party assistant app by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds.

Apple reports $14.1 billion profit on $62.9 billion revenue in FY Q4 2018, will stop reporting iPhone, iPad and Mac unit sales

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $62.9 billion, up 20% over last year with a net profit of $14.1 billion, up 32% YoY or earnings per share of $2.91, an increase of 41% over last year in their earnings for the financial year Q4 2018 that ended September 29, 2018. During earnings call Tim Cook said that the company produced record results from iPhone, services, and wearables that drove our momentum and it produced strong double-digit revenue growth in all of the geographic segments.
