Xiaomi shows off 3rd generation under-display camera technology, smartphones coming in 2021

Xiaomi today introduced its third-generation under-display smartphone camera technology, which the company says is the best solution for under-screen cameras, with perfect display and selfies. The first generation of under-screen camera technology that was introduced in June 2019 with transparent cathode and anode materials laid the foundation for the subsequent development of under-screen camera technology, said the CEO Lei Jun. Sony Xperia 5 II to be announced on September 17

Sony today confirmed a new Xperia product launch event on September 17th where the company is expected to introduce its top-end Sony Xperia 5 II, successor of last year’s Xperia 5 that was introduced at the IFA 2019. Based on recent @evleaks’ image, the phone is said to come with a similar design as the Xperia 5 II with 21:9 aspect ratio screen, triple rear cameras, a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated camera shutter button. Today it has started pre-orders for the phone for the global markets at redmagic.gg and it will roll out in countries such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Macao, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates starting from September 2nd.
