Airtel to launch Wi-Fi services in Gurgaon

Airtel has announced that it has won contract from Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to launch Wi-Fi services in Gurgaon. Airtel said that it has become the preferred partner to provide residents of the Millennium City an opportunity to connect to world-class internet experiences on the move.

It will roll-out Wi-Fi services at a speed of 2 Mbps in MG Road, Sadar Bazaar, Sector 29, Sirhaul Village and Leisure Valley Park residents soon. Anyone in the area with a Wi-Fi compatible device can enjoy 30 minutes of free WiFi per day per device, after the free quota, users will be charged a nominal amount to continue to use Wi-Fi.

Users will also be able to buy WiFi vouchers online, said the company. It has not revealed details about the plans yet, but it will be announced once the roll out begins.
